I have a MacBook A2141 that needs 2 of the 4 cd3217b12 ics replacing.

I read on the wiki that I need to source these from a donor, and I cant use new ones.

I also found the bin for the tbt rom on this forum.

As I don't have a donor board, can I use new cd3217b12 and program the tbt rom from the bin ?

If so how would that help? My understanding is that the current tbt rom on the board I'm working on is fine, so I'll just be programming it again?

I'm able to read and write the chip by selecting a winbond IC of the same size, but when verifying it fails at around 25 percent.

I've modded the ch341a to 3.3v.

Can I update the database to include the XMC 25QH256C?

I'm working on a HP Pavilion Laptop Model 15-eh1508sa that is missing 19v. I've looked at the schematics and want to know what conditions the ISL9238C checks before it enables the gate for MOSFETs PQ8200 and PQ8201,

I havent found any shorts on the board.

I get 19v at +PRWSRC but around 1.7v at the Drain of PQ8201(+vin)

I'm looking at the PS5 motherboard, and have come across 2 mosfets, I want to understand the purpose of the 2nd mosfet as the source is connected to GND and the drain is connected to 5v. wouldn't this short the 5v rail once the 2nd mosfets gate is enabled?
