    where to find soldering services?

    I was thinking of goofing with some pieces of hardware I have; replacing some of the memory ic's with upgraded ones, but they are SOJ, and I don't trust myself to try this. Any idea where I can go to have the work done? Even online?

    I'm in San Jose, CA btw.

      Well, any electronic repair shop should have electronics techs who would
      know how to do such a thing. Other than that, some electronic stores also
      offer such services (and just to be clear, by electronic stores I'm referring to stores who sell equipment for working with electronics, as in soldering irons, capacitors, resistors and the like)

              SMD fuse soldering advice please

              Hi all. I need to replace an SMD fuse on my camcorder and this is the first time I have had to do any SMD soldering so your advice would be appreciated. Below is a picture of the board that I am working on and I have highlighted the fuse that needs to be replaced. I managed to zoom in to take this picture but the fuse is really tiny and is sandwiched between other components so this is going to be a new milestone for me.               Hello, I search this connector (oxydated).
              It's a fpc zif low profile connector. It come from camera sensor, it is very small : 0.3mm between 2 pins.
              I ordered 2 from Aliexpress called « 0.3mm pitch » but one was 0.5mm between 2 pins and the other 0.6mm. In fact « 0.3mm pitch » seams to be the pad width and not the distance between 2 pins.
              I can't find it. The other websites like mouser dont show the datasheet, and I can't check if it is 0.3mm between 2 pins ?

              Do you know how to find this connector please ? What is the exact name for find it ?

              This Dell computer is a pain in the a** because of it only has one memory slot this computer only had 4 megabytes of memory and slower than shit I found a 8 megabyte memory module and it is better but still slow as shit the maximum is 32 megabytes of RAM but I was not able to find one I found some that are 16 megabytes but they are 1600/128000 type and I am not sure if this computer will work with this type of memory or not
