hi i am looking at a faulty rope light it has ac going in dc coming out of the power lead the only component in the round plastic housing is a small bridge rectifier part number HY RU 3KBP10 need help with a replacement part is very small about 3/4 inch long and half inch high any help on a replacement part cheers

Re: part id help
cheers selldoor there my mates rope lights basically the lights consist of 10 meter white constant on led rope lights this bridge rectifier was enclosed in like a torpedo shape molded plastic block (had to cut it open to get inside ) then found this part and only this part so this has 240 volts in then it goes through the bridge converts to dc volts out? then goes to the rope light run. so could i run this of a adaptor like a old laptop one? how can i work out what the output of that rectifier is? and is it 3 amps.cheers vinceComment

Re: part id help
No- if and only if that is the only component between the mains and the light string then it will be output 230 * 1.41 approx 325VDC.
If size is not a restriction so others are available

Re: part id help
hi guys just got a gbu407 rectifier can someone confirm the correct wiring for me as in which pin is ac live and neutral and which pins are the dc live and neutral data sheet here thanks vince

Re: part id help
Wow thats the big one! 1000v.
Anyway the picture and the diagram of the part on the datasheet shows the pin designation and it is probably on the part itself..
Centre Pins are AC doesnt matter which is which and the DC + is at the end with the slope. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: part id help
cheers selldoor did not realize it was 1000 volts should still work ok ? as its only 240v ac in.
is the 1000 volts max voltage it will Handel? just got to figure out which is live and neutral on the actual rope light now somehow.Comment

Re: part id help
Hi - Yes I think it will be ok -that is the max v.
I am guessing the bulbs are not leds and if they are tiny grain of rice bulbs
are they 150 bulbs at 1.5v so supply 225v would be good.
If that is the case and they are 1.5v filament bulbs I dont think it will matter
which is live and which is negative, BUT I dont KNOW for certain. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: part id help
203 white leds about 2 or 3 mm each led so do you think this will work? like this they dont flash or any thing just plug in turn on.

Re: part id help
Obviously it should work - you have just changed the bridge. BUT if they are leds then I think it does matter which is pos and neg. So you need to wait until someone who knows
chimes in. Did the bridge you took out have any markings - did you take a pic of it in situ. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: part id help
no it was broke in bits after removing it it was in like a torpedo of molded plastic ie have mains plug then wire then this torpedo molding with the small bridge rectifier part number HY RU 3KBP10 molded in side then a length of wire onto the rope light on the out side of the torpedo molding plug end stamped ac rope light end stamped dc if makes sence.Comment

Please post the pictures. White LED has forward voltage between 3~3.6V so the configuration of your LED rope must be LED strings connected in parallel.Never stop learning

Re: part id help
bud will try posting pics but they are sealed in like a clear/glitter hosepipe so i dont think a pic will pick up each led i have just looked really closely yes they are in parallel and every ninth on has a resistor.Comment

Re: part id help
If you can count the quantity of the LED on each string, then you can figure out how much voltage it will need to forward bias all the LED in the string + the current limiter resistor.Never stop learning

by Steph.henHi all, a newby question about a bridge rectifier I'm trying to identify.
I'm in the midst of reparing a battery charger in work which went pop, The bridge rectifier has shorted and took out a couple of other components. The rectifier in question has a part number KPB305G, and it looks like it's obsolete. Does any one know what I could replace it with?... -
by mpn78Hello
My Fujitsu Esprimo Q556 motherboards blew up. At least fuse, bridge rectifier and capacitor got damaged. I have changed fuse and bridge rectifier (DF1508S), but I don't know what capacitor it is (picture). I know that capacitors size is 47nF, but I don't know other specs for it. Can you help me to choose right capacitor for my motherboard?
There is 240V AC on input side of bridge rectifier and 340V DC as output on capasitors side.
Thanks.... -
by edugimenoHi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth... -

So then i went on to boardview and downloaded the schematics and identified this part in 2nd Photo. Now i am confused what exactly is the part called ? where should i get this from ?
i contacted my technician and he sent me his BoardVIew screenshot in 3rd Photo. In his Boardview the part is called X2826.... Something
SO My main concern is what part should i order what should i search the name for ?

by EasyGoing1I have a 40 volt AC transformer that I put a bridge rectifier on, and I wanted to see the input signal and the output signal on the same screen on my scope, so I set one channel up with the test lead on one side of the input and the ground lead on the other side of the input, then I used another channel on the scope and clipped the test lead on the positive side of the output then the ground on the negative side of the output.
When I connected the transformer to power, the wire that was connected between the ground lead on the second channel and the negative side of the bridge rectifier... - Loading...
