Re: Akai dv p2500 circuit manual needed
Cant spot any schematics you could just try a standard sort of start up 25v 68ohm
or 50v 68ohm. Resistors may be more difficult - did you try and measure them - no signs of any colour rings - perhaps still intact under the glue? Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Akai dv p2500 circuit manual needed
cheers guys just removed them pretty sure the resistors are both 470k ohms 1 defently open circuit i can see the colour marking on the one resistor on the underside no glue got to that bit lol so i will try a 50volt 68uf cap as selldoor suggested as i have one of them just got to find 2 resistors now and a fuse as someone has robbed the mains plug one.Comment

Re: Akai dv p2500 circuit manual needed
Perhaps try it with the 60watt 250v bulb to save anything blowing again. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Akai dv p2500 circuit manual needed
For a DVD player I'd use a 25W or 40W bulb, because it uses very little power and will still likely work with one. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Akai dv p2500 circuit manual needed
tom the 2 resistors i need maplin will have them (going to a shop right next door shortly) but not sure what watt i need there defently 470k ohm the body of the resistor is 6mm long by 2mm wide through hole so very small what watt would be your guess.
thanks for the tip on the bulb wattage.Comment

Re: Akai dv p2500 circuit manual needed
6mm x2mm is usually 0.25watt

Re: Akai dv p2500 circuit manual needed
a update i picked up 2 resistors from maplin whilst i was in town and put them in ok i then went to salvage as many screws as i could from inside the dvd case (owner of the dvd unit just threw them inside cover screws as well) when i tipped it up to remove the screws the start up capacitor suddenly appeared it was a 25 volt 22uf which actually tested ok so i put it back on the power board psu the unit fired up ok no problems but no matter how many times i clean the laser head it will not read all disks at all and skips when it does play them so guess the lasers knackered so i will just salavage the psu board and remote control for other projects.
on a good note though just picked a black dell 19in E193FPP lcd monitor up from local freecycle works 100% great no issues yet.Comment

by iR0ckHello everyone. Could anyone please share the service manual for the LG 38GL950G monitor? I have been using it for four years and just noticed that the PCB fan has never worked. The self-test also shows an error. It would be great if I could repair it somehow.

by AstonishedHi friends of electronics
What you see in the video and pictures attached is the circuit for charging the batteries of a DC motor.
The problem is that this circuit cannot charge the batteries (3 1800mAH NiMH batteries) any more. When the circuit was OK, its green LEDs lit up one at a time to show that the batteries have charged more. But now that the circuit is flawed, LEDs light up as you see in the video and at the same time successive beeps are heard.
Please help me fix this circuit.

by karatzdiHello,
I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!
So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.
Spent some time downloading the Service...-

by rabbitukI have got a Sony HCD-BX7700dbi that isn't worth a lot but I'm keen to learn how to repair and would appreciate some help with my train of thought. The protection circuit is kicking in and the standby light is blinking. It goes into protection mode within a second of powering it on.
So far the relay on the power board that enables the main transformer clicks on and then off when powering on the unit. Looking at the schematics, the permanently enabled power rail called 'unreg sub' provides about 13.5VDC. Where the power comes into the main board on connector CN303, there is a diode...-
