    Best way connecting ''naked'' cables?

I have a 2.1 speaker system and the cable have been cut (by dog!), so i want to connect 3 ''naked'' cables.Until know they are connected each other twisted. The best way is soldering this cables and then apply heat shrinkable plastic?

That should do it for audio connection. If you use heatshrink tube remember
to put the tube on BEFORE you solder.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

stupid question: So i have to apply solder to all the way of the cables or just in the edges?
Is there any other way for audio connection so i couldn't lose sound quality?

You could use in-line splicers, commonly called "butt splice connectors". You just strip the wires, insert in the ends of the connector, then crimp both ends.

Put heatshrink tube if you want through the cable
Remove a bit of insulation from both sides, about as wide as one of your fingers.

Ideally, you have some liquid flux so that after you clean the ends of the cables with a bit of alcohol you put a bit of alcohol.
If you don't have flux, just skip this step.

Twist the ends of the cable so that a good connection is made.

Put solder tip UNDER the wires to heat them up, then put solder wire with flux core at the base of the wire between the tip and the wire. If the temperature is right, the solder should just melt and absorb, go up into the wire and coat it nice silvery layer.

          Somewhat like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgjCeiLRWP8

If you want to do it perfectly right, you do it like this expert that does avionics level soldering:

@ randtek it's one cable that has 3 audio cables inside..and i have to twist these 3 cables with the other three and then put them into a tube,so i think this isn't a good solution.
            I'll try the mariushm's solution, with a cheap solder tool..and i hope that i won't have a problem.
            Thanks for your help

Cut out the damaged section, slide large heatshrink tube which will be used later for all three cables, Starting with the first one, place new cable in place, slide on small heat shrink tube, strip wire long enough to wrap around each other inline, then apply solder, slide heatshrink over, hit it with a hair-dryer or heat gun, repeat for others, then once all is insulated, test system, if it works, then slide the big one over and hit it with heat gun and you're good to go!

I've found a bottle of liquid tape useful things like this. The repair doesn't look as bulky as when one put heat shrink tube over several other heat shrink tubes, that again is over wires soldered on top of each other.

Liquid tape is also useful for situations where one got damaged insulation, and one can't put heat shrink tube on, without cutting the wire. Or where a layer of heat shrink tube will be to bulky, like wires from the motherboard to the laptop monitor.
