i have been doing cap kits for a while now and while i understand moving up a little on the uf and v is ok i just wanted to get your answer on this particular cap. i have currently a 4.7uf@50v and its pretty tall and fat. but when i originally ordered a sim cap it was small and skinny. but i have a 10uf@100v cap that came with my kit. would that be ok to install i know its a 50% increase to what i have
quick question about changing cap uf and v

Re: quick question about changing cap uf and v
If there's a large size difference it may be due to differences in properties of ESR etc, probably pay to check it out in detail before you go changing things."Tantalum for the brave, Solid Aluminium for the wise, Wet Electrolytic for the adventurous"

It also depends what that cap is being used for: filtering, time delay, etc.Never stop learning

Re: quick question about changing cap uf and v
MUCH more detail is needed. Offhand, I'd guess your small skinny cap was electrolytic and the one you're comparing against is a film cap... but I could be wrong.
What's doing cap kits? What's a sim cap? Maybe I am just tired and will understand later...
As budm mentioned, if it's a frequency filter cap or for timing then use the same uF value but uF changes don't matter (I'm sure there are exceptions) while if it is power rail decoupling or ripple filtering, substituting the 10uF for a 4.7uF should work, except that if that 4.7uF is a film cap it can handle AC and would have lower ESR which can be important for high frequency circuits.Comment

by jason123Hello folks,
New to Audio equipment - I got this receiver, I connected speakers and I tried to connect to Bluetooth. My phone would not see the receiver (Receiver flashes the BT as if it's trying to pair). Then I put it on FM radio, I get white noise on the speakers. I click the +/- Tuner button, and it moves from saved station 1 through 28, but the frequency is 87.x MHz not changing. At this point, thinking I may need to do a FW upgrade, I connected an HDMI cable to the TV and TV reports "No Signal" - TV "Kind of" sees the receiver (When connected to greyed out port,...-

by pabloroggeriGood guys. I changed the battery to a Lenovo V310-15ISK.
The laptop worked perfectly, I changed the L15C4A02 battery because it didn't last very long.
When I connected the new battery, the charging LED stopped lighting up and the one next to the charging pin also did not react when I pressed the power button. Minutes before changing the battery it worked perfectly and stopped working after putting the new one in. Even if you put the oroginal battery in or connect it without the battery, no LED lights up when you press the power button nor does it give an image, nor does the... -
by willis6732Hello,
This macbook wont turn on. Only a quick fan spin. Sometimes fans spin a few second. Somtimes they spin fast for a few seconds. Other than that no signs of life
All the Coils on the board have voltage and battery charges fine as well.
I noticed this not sure if it is suspicious:
PPVCC_CPU_PH1 / CPUCORE_SW1 = 40 Ohms (Flex Bv shows 90 Ohms)
=.023 Diode Mode (Flex BV shows .090)
I would appreciate som support in the diagnosis.

by brusli009So i got a used B660 Gaming X DDR4. and got a cheap g6900 cpu to try it out, yet at first the cpu wasnt detected so i just tightened the ilm screws more and it was detected now but the dram led and cpu led would keep changing between the 2. I have tried 3 different ram kits in all slots separately, 2 are on the official list, and nothing so far. I aslo tried updating using q flash plus but no matter how much i keep it pressed the orange led next to it dosent turn on.
I might also add that i get 5 long beeps before it shuts off and starts again - Loading...
