Yes replacing the LED fixed the dim light display issue.
What do you mean elbow grease? Like actually massage the LCD in a buffing motion? Would be funny if you were pulling my leg and got me massaging the tv.
I didnt really rearch much when buying my suction cups. I went for bigger. The seems very heavy duty. lol

Hello, I received replacement LED strips and wanted to give an update on those
In Diode mode the LEDs light up one direction and OL in the other direction. So by your explaination im guessing they are not Zener.
Except one of the LEDs doesnt light up with diode mode and reads .2 to .3 each directions.
But with the LED tester that LED lights up normally.
Each LED strip x8 shows 15V on my LED Tester. I tried shorting the one weird LED for fun and Voltage goes to 12.3V for the strip
Wondering, do i just ignore the LED...

Thanks. I havnt dealt with zener LEDs before. I didnt know DMM could be used on them
I dont have the TV with me, and i did find the LEDs from china for $36 so i went ahead and orderred the out of my pocket
I will report back with BL output wheni get the LEDs
PS. I am brutally honest with customers and they know as much as i do about the validity of the repair....

Well sorry if ive posted dumb misleading information.
Thanks for the help on diagnosis LED Strips. THis is valuable information i was unaware of. Could you please clarify some things before a get the TV back here...
"currents measurement -------- measure the pulling V at start up from cold state--- if its pull high and then reduced ... if yes then replace all strips"
So i should check for voltage droping on backlight circuit. Im assuming to use High mode on Voltmeter? What is an acceptable voltage fluctiation 1V, 5V, 10V ??
I also dont...

Holy symantics. Looking for help, not to be critisized about life. Not sure how to delete photo. Edit button is gone. Yes ive fixed many TV's with this method. Got the Method from Electronics repair school channel if you want to critisize sorin. If you dissagree with anything i did, just state the correct method. Jeese

Toshiba 55lf621c21 Dim Picture / Backlight afterbypassing a Burnt LED
Hello,
This TV came in for a backlight Repair. I bypassed the Burnt LED as shown in Picture. I thought it was fixed and returned to customer. So I dont have the TV anymore, but customer says its not really watchable.
Now the TV Is much dimmer than before. It does a quick bright flash when it first turns on.
The Driver board looked pretty toasty in the LED Driver Area.
So I am wondering.. how can i Tell if this is a LED or Driver Board Issue?...

Thank you for the instructions. I am not super clear on the second instructions, but ive got as far as i could understand.
To clarify more the symptoms are... when pugged in, no light for 10 seconds (Except Green LED on LED board), then orange-green alternating, then 10 seconds later the remote works and the light turns to white and the light can be turned on and off with power button on remote.
I unplugged the 3x connectors that you marked with the stars in image... and same symptoms
Next I cut the BL-ON wire and connected the the DPS/MAIN side to...

XBR-75X940D : Alive but no Backlight, Seeking Advice...
Hello, Tv Has no Backlight (or Sound that i know of)
Tv Turns on flashing Orange/Green, and then turns to white with remote and can be turned on and off.
Was also able to update firmware with no change.
The TV had a Burnt LED Driver IC on the Main Power board, Both main power boards have been replaced.
I would like to test the backlights on this TV without opening it up. I am confused by all the ribbon cables coming off the LED Driver board
I have a LED Tester...
Ribbon cables E,F Look totally different...

Thanks for the Reply.
Charging threw USB seems fine. The USB power initiates a quick fan spin.
I get 20V on all the ports and It was charging fine at about 1.5a or so, maybe 2 amps. Pretty sure the batt is fully charged now.
So now the USB sits and fluctuates between 40 and 100ma. And then about once a minuite it does a quick fan spin and USB power goes up to around 400ma for a sec.
There Is some Heat coming from the CPU once and a while. I was Wondering if it could be a shorted CPU but thats a total guess......

820-01949 - A2337 - Quick Fan Spin for a Few Seconds. Charging and Main Rails OK
Hello,
This macbook wont turn on. Only a quick fan spin. Sometimes fans spin a few second. Somtimes they spin fast for a few seconds. Other than that no signs of life
All the Coils on the board have voltage and battery charges fine as well.
I noticed this not sure if it is suspicious:
PPVCC_CPU_PH1 / CPUCORE_SW1 = 40 Ohms (Flex Bv shows 90 Ohms)
=.023 Diode Mode (Flex BV shows .090)
I would appreciate som support in the diagnosis.
Th anks,

Re: LTO PS 4LA Powerred Speakers - Tweeter Audio Low
So i believe the whole problem with the low audio in the tweeter is in the "crossover"(?) area.
THe capacitor and resistor seem fine, so i would just like to bypass and add my own crossover if possible?
If i want to bypass this area and add my own crossover, Do i need to know the freqency of the tweeter. I couldnt find aything in the schematics, just that it is a 15W 8Ohm Speaker. Perhaps close is good enough?
I wouldnt mind just odering one on aliexpress....

Re: LTO PS 4LA Powerred Speakers - Tweeter Audio Low
Ive just recived these in the mail. Im more incline to just pop one of these in, But with the Crossover being messup up i need to make one or figure that out.
Never did that before..
Any suggestions? Can i just put a Capacitor in Series or does it need a coil too?...

Re: LTO PS 4LA Powerred Speakers - Tweeter Audio Low
Hey having some success...
Ive disconnected the mute circuit and the bass works fine, so continuing testing without it...
See photo:
Ive disconnect the +VIN from the Tweeter amplifyer chip by disconnecting the cap and resistor next to it.
If i connect the +VIN before the 220P Cap (right at the main input) i get louder volume but sounds like crap.
I found C18 (10P) which connects the In to the Out is no good......

Re: LTO PS 4LA Powerred Speakers - Tweeter Audio Low
Took out the transistor and it seems fine.
Its a PNP and -.8V on the base so i think thats right that its on... But how then do you get the base voltage back up.
All the resistors in that areas measure fine. They are just tiny 1/4W guys.
I was going to trying disconnecting the mute pin on the Tweeter driver but its hard to get too, ill have to cut the pin off if i want to test that......

Re: LTO PS 4LA Powerred Speakers - Tweeter Audio Low
Hello, thanks for the push forward.
I have the IC voltages and the voltages around R17.
R17 over 100 Deg C...
Z1 and R7 get hot as well.
Q1 on the bottom left has less than 1V difference between base and collector. Should it have -27.8v on the collector and emitter with only 1v Difference on the base?? Check transistor out of circuit?
THanks
Kevin...
