    Soldering Station not controling heat

Hi Guys; I have here a Xytronic LF-1000 Soldering Station that i broke the soldering Iron 210ESD 32/100v assembly arm, on my small bench by crashing the soldering iron assembly with a TV that pushed it against the wall, so after the soldering station just failed,i was able to fix it by putting in a triac RT137 and glued up the soldering iron assembly but could not control the heat as before when putting the tip assembly on the resting arm, it would lower the heat, today i ordered a new soldering Iron assembly but it continues not to control the heat, heat keeps rising and and stays high, my question, is this chip CD4541BE the cause of it not to control the heat.i send here some pics of the boards and the inside of the soldering station and arm tip assembly, any help will be appreciated thanks in advance.

Is this the temp. control board for the arm?

    component SW.3

Looks like you resolder it. Were leads "R" and "M" originally bridge soldered?
If they weren't, unbridge them and see if that helps.

Thanks joshnz; for you interest in this problem, spent 65 dollars on a new Iron assembly and hate that was for nothing, the iron still works good is that if i am doing some job it will stay on the temperature that i set instead of when i put it in the rest stand it should idle with lower temperature it saves the tip.here goes the solder that i made on the Triac,i did not use led free solder,i used 60/40, maybe i should i have some,
