I don't know about your PSU, if I were you I would test it on a throw away old computer. Call GE and see what they have to say about this. Obviously it's a defective power strip, if they can't do anything for ya, talk to a lawyer and prove that your PSU works fine but you could have been seriously injured or killed from the defective power strip.
That breaker panel IS a liability. Zinsco/Zinsco by Sylvania lost their UL listing years ago. The panel is about 40 years old and has same problems as Federal Pacific. Breakers don't trip, known to fall out of panel, and ALUMINUM bus bars.

skystormsfarms - GE is actually one of the better panels. As an electrician, I've installed more than I care to count. Never had a bus failure or main breaker failure. They carry a lifetime warranty on the panel and breakers, full copper bus (it's coated with a silver-colored compound). I've seen some of their older panels (over 30 years) with no problems to be found.
FWIW, Cutler Hammer CH-series also has the lifetime warranty but their BR-series is only 10-years. Square-D is unclear on their warranty.
Stupidity should be a crime, especially for drivers. I have NO patience for them.
Skystormfarms, look at the third picture in your first post. Multi-color handles in a single line is the trademark design of Zinsco. Also, the breakers are 1-inch thick with 2 handles, with or without a handle tie (two single pole breakers for 2 120-volt circuit or a 2-pole breaker for a 240 volt circuit).
GE uses all black handles, 1-inch or 1/2-inch breakers. Bryant used to make breakers with colored handles that fit GE's and vice-versa but doing so voided UL listing of the panel and also voided the warranty. A GE breaker will trip faster than a Zinsco almost to the nuisance level of tripping (regardless of age).

The "GE" I was referring to was the power strip not the load center.
edit: then reading up I see he replied with a zinsco panel.
Looks like they are working if they tripped but still I think you should have the panel inspected by a licensed electrician to ensure proper functionality.
