    Trinoculars

Can anyone point me to a review or suggest a good microscope or trinocular for a semi serious tech getting into SMD?

have been watching Richard from Learn Electronics Repair and he recommended a trinocular simulfocal from Amazon

I also saw a review from a guy that had his meter (think it was a fluke) display in his microscope lenses

    any tips appreciated !

      Looking to buy a microscope

Good day and a belated happy New Year folks !
Wow....feels like forever since I've had a chat with all the wonderful folks we got here - guess you could say I grew up and can look after myself now
In all seriousness, I'm in need of some assistance choosing a microscope. I decided it's time I finally got one and I might as well put some of the money I earned caroling this year to good use

The reason I'm turning to our community for advice is because I'd like to hear some thoughts from people who actually own a microscope already or at least worked with them hands-on,...

      INSKAM Microscope USB port issue
      by lcdcaps1
      Hi
      All
Does anyone have a INSKAM 7 inch LCD digital microscope
I have a weird issue on the one I have where the USB port does not output enough power because when I connect a USB light or the ring light the light output is always really dim
The ring light when connected to the microscope USB port is at the lowest brightness and turning the brightness knob makes no difference
I have tried different cables and different USB power adapters

I have confirmed there is nothing wrong with the ring light and the other USB light by plugging them into another...

      My Andonstar ADSM201 Microscope Review
      by chegueva
Hi everyone. i'v started learning electronics before the corona hit so that's not very long time ago. but anyways i started with only a multi-meter then i started getting into micro-soldering and soldering in general, got myself hot air station a bench Power-supply and last but not least a microscope.
About the microscope at first i just wanted to get those 15 usd USB digital microscopes to try but some people talked me outta of it and i decided to go for something better but not professional as i'm just starting out.
      So i had a choice between a binocular & camera , i wanted...

Weak Vision due to Eye Strain when using Microscope
      by caspian
      Dear Forum Members,

Microscope is required for micro-soldering and for measuring tiny components on a mainboard. I have to use microscope because my eyes are not that strong to see tiny IC pins.
My microscope has light to improve vision. I have attached a photo of my microscope.

Looking through a microscope gives us eye strain. After using microscope for 5 to 10 minues, my eyes get a bit weak in recognizing close objects. that means close objects look a bit blur. Then, I have to wait for 5 to 10 hours til my eyes get back to normal.

      1. Do you experience...

Please review my ESP based WLED controller board for WS2815 12V LED Strips - New to electronics.
      by Geeker007
I'm designing an ESP-based WLED controller board for WS2815 12V LED strips, with a primary focus on energy efficiency.

To minimize power consumption, my goal is to completely shut down the system when the LED strip is turned off.
However, the current buck converter powering the ESP module draws about 8 watts even when the LEDs are idle, making it unsuitable for low-power operation.

      I am using below components:
      • Buck Converter: TPS562201 (12V → 5V regulated)
      • Microcontroller: XIAO ESP32-C3 (with built-in USB-C)
      • LED Strip: WS2815 (12V digital LED strip)
      • Switching
