    Owon HDS1021M DSO opinions please

Without being to harsh on me requesting your opinions on this DSO.

Its probably an entry level scope for basic testing being 20mhz but then I am a novice wanting to learn.

I do have an analog single scope TeleEquipment S51 but not convinced its working properly hence wanting one that 1) does work and 2) cheap, it is a secondhand possibly purchase.
I have a dual D43 on its way but need to confirm that it fully works.

    I'm only currently repairing LCD/Plasma TV's.

Need advice testing a samsung power supply board with scope
      by repair-it
I am attempting to test a samsung power supply board to verify the pfc ic is working. I am powering up the board with my isolation transformer. The board turns on fine but when I attempt to connect the ground for the scope probe, it trips out the isolator. I was taught not to 'float my scope' so I am wondering if I should test without connecting the ground lead or would that be asking for trouble? Not sure how else to test, I don't have a portable scope. I could plug direct to mains power but that would bypass the safety factor.

Reading input and output of bridge rectifier on the same scope?
      by EasyGoing1
I have a 40 volt AC transformer that I put a bridge rectifier on, and I wanted to see the input signal and the output signal on the same screen on my scope, so I set one channel up with the test lead on one side of the input and the ground lead on the other side of the input, then I used another channel on the scope and clipped the test lead on the positive side of the output then the ground on the negative side of the output.

When I connected the transformer to power, the wire that was connected between the ground lead on the second channel and the negative side of the bridge rectifier...

      Owon HDS2202S oscilloscope
      by danro
      Hi all,

I have this OWON HDS2202S oscilloscope that worked fine until it was used with the wrong probes mounted in the wrong place.
It is not completely dead, it still fulfills some functions. I opened it and found some damaged components inside. I have identified the rest but I cannot identify this IC. I don't think I can find the diagram, but can someone help me identify this component?
It seems to be an LDO regulator. I identified it like this:
      Pin1 - Vin
      Pin2 - GND
      Pin3 - ? (connected with pin1)
Pin4 - ADJ ? (resistive divider between Vout and...
