    Tenma 72-6800 opinions

Whats the opinion of this scope?

Fairly new to electronics and learning, mostly repair TV's in spare time as and when they come up either free or cheap!

    Any advice or recommendations?

Will see if he will accept £50 for it.

      Is it a good scope?

Like everything, you have to start somewhere. I started with trying to use a 99 cent ebay multimeter and after a while with some education and patience, I now have more quality multimeters than I need.

So if you are trying to learn more about electronics and how to use a scope, get a working one for as little cost as possible. Afterwards, you can decide if you need a better one or not.

For 95% of the repairs here on this forum, a simple multimeter will work fine.

PS. I'm thinking about getting a scope myself in the under $50 range. I'm not going to disclose which one as I don't need any bidding competition.

If it is a local buy ask a trained friend to assist you, even a school professor in electronics he can do that for you.
