esr meters bob parker esr micro 4.0 ?

Yes i did a search but there is almost too much information out there on which ESR meter would work best for me. Electronics repair has become less of a hobby but more of a job to me. At work I repair a couple of motherboards per week and a couple of acer monitors thrown into the mix also. ESR meter would be a great tool to have around here. I got the OK from the boss to get one ordered but I am unsure which one is going to be good for me my price range is around 100$ and I would like it prebuilt so i can use it straight out of the box.

Any suggestions would be great and thanks in advance

I got 2 esr micro v4.0 meters, one for me and one for a friend that is tech at the university.

It's a great tool, we have really nothing to complain about it, and the price was very reasonable

I accidentally tested a charged cap with my ESR Micro the other day.
Zap!! followed by some profanity, then sinking feeling in my stomach.
Not sure if there's protection built-in but it still works perfectly. Whew! Love this little unit.

Bob, is it possible that you can sell just PCB? I'd be interested.

I only designed the ESR meter and I've never supplied kits or PCBs etc for them.

If you wanted to get a PCB on its own, you could try asking Anatek Corp if they'll supply you with one. But I have to say that it's much easier to simply get hold of the complete kit and then you don't need to source any special parts like the programmed microcontroller chip.

Or you could get one of the Russian meters and be checking caps 5 minutes after you open the box.

Optiplex 3050 micro 2 blinks followed by 3 blinks issue
              by Taurus12
Does anyone have an idea of what might be the issue with my 3050 micro? I have tried replacing new cmos battery but still the same

I am not sure if its the powersupply that I'm using is the issue since its the original powersupply. its a laptop powersupply with the same specifications with the 3050 micro so i guess it should be fine.

i also tried replacing the bios but with no avail, everytime i try another bios it gives a different blinking lights

Any recommendation on what I have to do next? Thanks in advance

Possible to convert eMMC Socket to a micro SD Card socket?
              by Isabella91
I have seen many posts where the eMMC can be read via a SD card reader, however can the opposite be achieved?

Read/Write a Micro SD Card from an eMMC Socket.

I have a Motherboard with a Kingston BGA153 ball socket, using HS400 bus mode, which is 8bit, as Micro SD is usually 1bit or 4bit mode, I accept that a loss of speed in read/write will occur, but I would sill like to convert.

Theoretically speaking, Im thinking if I hard solder DAT0-3 from eMMC to SD Card Reader, this should force 4-bit mode, or only DAT0 to force 1-bit mode.

              Not to remove...

              Dell 3080 Micro BIOS dead
              by tracks
              Hello all,

I have a Dell 3080 Micro with a problem. As it is right now, it seems to be boot looping, maybe... There's no output, just fan on and power led lights up and blinks off every 2 seconds or so.
Previous owner told me he bought it with a BIOS password, he tried to use a CH341A programmer with some random test clip and tried to mess with it while it was powered on. Now it won't boot.

I tried to dump the bios with an EZP2023+ but I can't get a consistent read. Every time the dump is different, so it's unusable. I think the BIOS chip is fried.

9th Gen Dell Optiplex Micro PC motherboard repair: Short Circuit?
              by Geeker007
Hi All, I have a 9th Gen Dell Optiplex micro PC motherboard which doesn't power on. When I connect the motherboard with power adapter, it goes into safe mode and turns off. So from info I have gathered online, it looks like there is a short circuit on the motherboard. So can you guys help me with figuring out the issue?

I am new to electronics repair, so my queries could be naive but I am ready to learn.

So I have a multimeter and a solder with me. But I can try to get a variable voltage power supply with a thermal camera as well. From what I seen online, best way is...
