    Re: 3 red blink in panasonic 65vt60

    You are right The SC is malfunctioning for sure
    But I also get 8 red light blink when conect the ribbon cable of the ss to the main board.

    My understanding in electronic is low and I love this plasma tv so I am trying to repair it myself by replacing the fulty board with a working.

    About the ss board I attached picture of the ss board and I mark the igbt I think you meant that need to mesure them for short?

    How I mesure them there is three leg?

    Thank you very much!

      Yes, those screwed to the heatsink, if there are any low OHMs reading between any of the pins of the IGBTs, something is shorted. They are marked as "QXXX" for MOSFET transistors (G D S) and IGBTs (G C E).

      8 blinks points to SS board, 6 and 7 blinks are for SC board, the service manual I found lists no blink codes for P60VT60 and is very incomplete, no schematics, only block diagrams.

        Re: 3 red blink in panasonic 65vt60

        I mesure transistors G C E
        All of them is 570-590 ohms and 240-270 ohms
        Between thr different legs but all is the same reading.

        I find TPVE test point of SS board and TPVSUS of
        SS board.

        I isolated the SC board completely disconnected the ribbon cable and the Dc power connector.

        Turn on TV and got 8 red light,
        I mesure TPVE it start in 140 VDC and quickly drop to
        0 VDC.
        I mesure TPVSUS it start 140 VDC and quickly drop to
        0 VDC.

        Does it mean a bed SS Board or because the tv shut down to 8 red light mode the DC voltage drops?

        Thank you very much on your help!

          ן do another test disconnected also the ribbon cable of theSS board and tv click no red light, now green light and 2 fan spining.

          The voltage Also stable
          TPVE=149 VDC
          TPVSUS= 200 VDC

          Maybe the ribbon cable is not good?
          Or it is a problem of the SS Board?

          When conect the ss ribbon cable the tv red light flash
          8 times and voltage on the 2 test point of ss board falling quickly.

          Thank you very much!

            Re: 3 red blink in panasonic 65vt60

            I don't know if the tv works with SS only, generating VE is half of it's job, but actual 240 or even 590 OHMs is very low for IGBTs, the least I've seen is 5kOHMs and that was a resistor between gate and emitter on the board itself, VSUS only going to 140V is bad.

            I would dessolder those transistors and test them off the board, but since that's difficult, I recommend first buying a SC replacement, if 8 blinks still happen, then a SS board, which should be cheap, the SC is more expensive.

            For P65VT60B, SC board should be TNPA5795, SS TNPA5796.

              I took another reading when the ribbon of the SS board
              Disconnected from the main board so the tv on with fan spining

              The voltage on the Ss board stable
              TPVE=149 VDC
              TPVSUS= 200 VDC

              This Is the highest I mesure is it low?

              You mean the igbt need to mesure between legs
              5000 ohms in the voltmeter screen the max I mesure
              Was 590 ohms?

              Thank you.

                I didn't understand the multimeter part, but the SS does not operate fully without the mainboard, for now I'll stand with recommending a SC replacement, then if it still blink 8 times, replace the SS board.

                  I managed*to find*another sc board*TXNSC1UDUUTH
                  visually they look the same

                  Do you know if they are interchangeable?

                    Re: 3 red blink in panasonic 65vt60

                    They are different, there are two models:
                    TNPA5795AC (P60VT60 / P65VT60) TXNSC1UCUUTH
                    TNPA5795AD (P60ZT60 / P65ZT60) TXNSC1UDUUTH

                    Looks very similar, but there might be some SMD components that change and will need to be swapped between the two boards, so unless you have a hot air station and experience with that, finding a CUUTH model is best.

                      It is very difficult to find TXNSC1UCUUTH SC board
                      I only find in ebay one but it is in exchange to my fulty sc board.
                      I will have to pay two costly shipping +service repair.

                      The ss board is lass difficult I saw it in ebay for selling

                      I searched ebay and aliexpress.

                      Do you familiar a good place that sell good condition panasonic board?

                      Thank you.

                          I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                          Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                          I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                          The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                          With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                          Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
                          Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                          Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                          by sam_sam_sam
                          I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

                          This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                          Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                          by canadaboy25
                          I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

                          The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

                          I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...
