    open/bulged nippon oscon in winbook

    the notebook was unstable and would bootloop continusly till warm.
    found 2 of these bad.

    Those caps have the United Chemi-con logo. Never seen Os-con with that logo or that blue colour....

      i may have my brands mixed up but it says os con on it.
      its from an older p3 winbook so its got some age on it in a hot environment.

            the board on the bench is a sbc out of an anlilam 1100
            it has the same caps but different values.and it is flakey too.

              I have Sanyo capacitors here labeled "oscon" on this PNY quadro4 board, along with plain Sanyos.

                      I saw Oscons a while ago in my "new" Sun Ultra 5. All other caps are Rubycon.

                        Does that have a Mitek P/S in it, Rainbow? I did the test work to work out the design problems in it and qualify it.

                          The PSU is Mitac - and looks really non-standard inside (big heatsinks, some daughter boards). The caps are NOVA and TEAPO.
