Those caps have the United Chemi-con logo. Never seen Os-con with that logo or that blue colour.... -

i may have my brands mixed up but it says os con on it.
its from an older p3 winbook so its got some age on it in a hot environment.Comment

the board on the bench is a sbc out of an anlilam 1100
it has the same caps but different values.and it is flakey too.Comment

The PSU is Mitac - and looks really non-standard inside (big heatsinks, some daughter boards). The caps are NOVA and TEAPO.Comment

got this tv from a friend who got a new one and didnt want to bother repairing this one.
he said it sometimes would just flash color patterns.
and sometimes it would just work
i figured it had some intermittent mainboard issue.
i stored it at home for a while before looking at it
when i plugged it in for the first time, i heard some popping noises
and then a big cloud of white smoke came out of the back of the tv!
i noticed the smoke didnt actually smell like anything. not like when an IC blows.
i unplugged it and took the back off and discovered... -

Hi everybody,
my 11 year old Eizo FS2333 started having issues today for the first time, the backlight suddenly got very dim and started flickering. I thought that I could run the monitor at 40-50% brightness as a stopgap (100% normally) but even then it flickers a lot. I'm guessing it's failing capacitors on the power board. What is the proper way to open this so that not destroy rubber?
I feel if go on forward with not knowledge howto open, that it be broken rubber seal on it....
