Re: Toshiba LcD TV 40L1333b sound no picture
Pictures are not really good enough for troubleshooting - need better lighting - daylight no flash. Power supply is a Vestel which is a can of worms. There should be another board
or two? One distributes power to the LED back light the other is the main board that
controls everything - again if it is a vestel main the word control may not apply. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

OK, what DC Voltage do you have on the two legs of the main filter caps (47uF 450VDC) and on the two legs of the filter caps (1000uF 35V) of the LED driver circuit?Never stop learning

OK, PFC Voltage booster is working, and the 24V LED power supply is OK.
Can I see the whole back side of the TV so I can see how all the boards are connected together?Never stop learning

Re: Toshiba LcD TV 40L1333b sound no picture
OK, one board I do not see is the LED driver board, it may be inside the LCD panel.
I found the SCH for the power supply board from TOM66 web site.
You can check connector PL306 to see if the BL_ON/OFF signal is present or not, if it is present, then you will have to locate that LED driver board, we know that we do have 24V to feed the LED driver board, that 24V is boosted to higher Voltage to drive the LED strings.
If the LED driver board is inside the panel, that will be a big job to get to it.Attached FilesNever stop learning

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started βfading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly βnew' Tcon board this time, and... -
by jord4231Hi Everyone,
I'm working on a Toshiba 37AV500A Regza TV.
The issue:
TV was working picture and sound went out. Green stand by light stayed on, It will respond to the power button being pressed (goes in and out of standby)
The TV will very intermittently work for around 40 mins then stop. This doesn't seem to matter if its hot/cold unplugged for a while etc.
I checked the PSU voltages and everything looked good.
No bulging caps or signs of heat.

by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
by jchangHi all
I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.
Symptom:
No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
No sound at all.
What I tried:
1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon... - Loading...
