Re: Latitude E5250 dead. La 89 motherboard
Thanks for the reply and suggestions friend. I will certainly check what has been suggested but need some clarity on what has been referred to as invalid. I have another identical motherboard here that i am taking readings from and looking at the diagram. On UZ8 at vout 2 shows the alw voltage as 3.3v and that voltage is measured at PJP 20 with no motherboard triggered. Once the power button is pressed the 3.3 M voltage is shown on pin 13 and 14(Vout 1) and goes away when power goes off. From what i can see the chip must be bad. PJP 20...

Re: Latitude E5250 dead. LA -A89 motherboard
Hello guys. Looks like the problem may be at UZ8 that supplies +3.3V_M and +3.3V_ALW_PCH. The LDO regulator has no output but has input voltage. I have a donor board or two but those chips are a pain to take off. Still looking for suggestions. Thanks.

Re: Hp Go14 not booting into windows
Thanks for the response diif. I had already torn down the computer so i stuck another drive in and programmed windows. Seems to be working fine. Now i need to check the other drive further to see if the corruption can be reversed. Crystal disk mark says the drive health is good . Another user in the hp forum experienced the same problem with this unit and it ended up being a graphics problem. Followed the same procedure by replacing drive etc.... Worked good for a while and computer started to pixelate etc....

Hp Go14 not booting into windows
Hey guys. Currently working on a 24inch all in one computer that will not boot into windows neither safe mode. Pressing f11 does get you into the troubleshooting mode where you can reset the pc etc…. System restore said there was some corruption so a chkdsk was performed but after the restore was initiated nothing changed. The computer shows the hp logo, then goes to a small spinning circle ending with a blank screen. I am inclined to believe that this is some kind of graphics problem possibly but wanted to see if anyone can give some idea on what to check. Maybe the problem is not worth fixing...

Latitude E5250 dead. La 89 motherboard
Hello guys. This motherboard has no signs of life after turning off one day. Disassembled the machine and took the bios battery out then pressed the power button for 30 seconds. Board turned on again momentarily but was short lived and didnt turn on again. Flashed bios with a 341a programmer and no change. Board has no shorted power rails and is outputting 3.3v and 5v alw. No other rails are present when pressing the power button and the voltage is there. Also no voltage drop at the power switch when pressed like its not even there. Running out of ideas on this one. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Invid PN1B-8X8NH Nvr Unknown IC
Pin out is the same on both boards even though I can't determine voltages on the non working board. Same inductor and capacitors on both boards. Looks like a lot of these markings are cryptic as none of the databases show them. Hard to fix something when components can't be identified.

Re: Invid PN1B-8X8NH Nvr Unknown IC
There is no continuity between pins 2 and 4. Thanks.

Re: Invid PN1B-8X8NH Nvr Unknown IC
Actually not Rj. Looks like the other nvr has the marking beginning with NY. It is burned so i cant read the full marking. Same circuit though. This is a pain finding these tiny components while the schematic diagrams are somewhere locked away. Thanks for trying to help.

Re: Invid PN1B-8X8NH Nvr Unknown IC
Here is a pinout and voltage reading for this ic acquired from another nvr.
Pin 1 - 0.600vdc
Pin 2 -11.96vdc
Pin 3 -0.00
Pin 4 -12.09vdc
Pin 5 -5.0vdc
Pin 6 -8.20vdc

Re: Invid PN1B-8X8NH Nvr Unknown IC
Thanks Rj. Will check the output pins but pins 4 and 5 have 12v and 5 volts if not mistaken. Will get a better picture up. Thanks.

Invid PN1B-8X8NH Nvr Unknown IC
Trying to identify this IC near the 12 and 5 volt connector. It is marked MDME and looks to be some kind of voltage regulator for the 12 and 5 volt rail. This is located in an Invid Nvr #PN1B-8X8NH. As you an see from the picture it is a 6 pin small ic. Any help is appreciated....

Re: HP15-r018dx display blinks
Thanks Mcp for the quick response. I have enough bench time in this already doing the most obvious things. Starting to pick my battles wisely so time to return to the customer.I did forget to mention that it does not do it everytime it is moved or handled but is erratic. You may have to move the screen back and forth a few times before it does it and sometimes tapping or pick up does it.Last edited by Herbssat; 07-17-2019, 11:15 AM.

HP15-r018dx display blinks
Working on this laptop that the display screen blinks when moved or handled. Display has been changed as well as the video cable and it still blinks. Output from hdmi port to another monitor is fine. Anybody seen this. I am suspecting something with the vga section of the motherboard.

HP G4-1015dx no sound
Good evening guys. I have this laptop that I am working on with no sound from the internal speakers or headphone port. Sound does come from the hdmi output. I have done the usual driver routines and all other troubleshooting. You can see the sound output display in the playback tab moving up and down. Help is appreciated.

Re: HP 21 All in One- No boot device
Thanks for the response Stj. The hard drive checks out okay. I was reading that a model close to this had some oxidation at the sata connectors(motherboard or hard drive side).

HP 21 All in One- No boot device
Hi guys. I have recently gotten one of these machines that seems to have a mind of its own. Upon firing the machine up it says no boot device detected at times and sometimes the hard drive completely vanishes. I have done all the recent tests as far as hard drive and etc.... and they all come back negative. Power unplugs and pressing the power button in for 30 seconds seems to bring it back in most cases. Maybe some of you have seen this machine in action and can chime in. Thanks.
