I bricked my thinkpad yoga i5 convertible 12.5in while updating the BIOS

The only way to recover is to flash the BIOS

I need a BIOS image file - can anyone help

Programmed it on to the eeprom but the system keeps the password. Also the serial does not change.

Do I need to flash another chip to remove the password?

Any idea how to remove supervisor password from this motherboard?
I flashed the bios and kbc but password is still here. Password is gone only if i remove the eeprom chip so i Think that the password is there but this is write protected chip and i cant do anything.

LA-A342P : 2x bios and EC

the 24rf08 or p24s08a reads very well, this eprom is not locked
or bypass password with shunt on 24rf08 between scl and sda when backlight come and F1 to enter setup.

Could you highlight the scl and sda in an image, also what is the optimal way to shunt it to unlock password, as the chip is rather difficult to access if the full frame is assembled

my apologies, images loaded after a reload of the page, images clarify very well.

did you initially use the bioshunger bios to achieve unlocked password, i take it this one is not ME neutered, i can achieve this myself once i arrive home

i tried shunting after i had succesfully used the bioshunger files to troubleshoot that indeed the bios chip was being problematic, i then neutered IME from the original bios files and got it to boot, however i could never get past the bios password so i tried shunting it, with what i assume is very bad success as my laptop no longer boots, the fan speeds up fast shutsdown the laptop and repeats this process 3 times blinking the power LED, my assumption is from the attached images that this process somehow fried my onboard ram as the chip itself looks to be visually fine but ram chips have weird wear in them

any remedies to recommend for this process or is my laptop just toast at this point i am indeed waiting to get a multimeter at this point to zero in on possible issues
