    Funny hibernation problem

On my new build with a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P motherboard and the famous 550W AcBel, under Windows 7 64-bit, if I hibernate my machine it will turn itself back on in a few hours. I'll hibernate it at night when I go to bed only to find it on in the morning. I'll hibernate it before I go to work and it'll be on when I come back, same thing if I pop online to check my email before school...

I'll do some snooping around with a multimeter later, but it almost seems as if it's not fully entering S5, which it should because hibernation=save RAM contents to disk and then regular (S5) shutdown. Anybody have any ideas/suggestions? It only happens when I hibernate it, not when I just click "shut down".

Odd - it says an audio stream is currently in use for Realtek HD audio. Is it possible for the integrated sound to somehow be causing this?

I'm not surprised you have a hibernation problem with a new operating system.
This is not a decent answer, but you are braving a brand new OS, and this is what happens.

does it list the process responsible for the stream?
does the same thing happen in standby?

Check in device manager for your Realtek HD Audio. In the Power Management tab see if there is an option for "Allow this device to wake the computer". Uncheck it if it's there.

That and also look at your settings under advanced power settings for your power plan. Also disable windows media player network sharing, that was a big one on my machine that caused my audigy to act up. you should also see if there is something that is using sound besides windows, go to the mixer and it will tell you

my audigy does this too, usually there is a process using sound that forgot to close. if nothing is running the stream should not be in use.

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
                  by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                  1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                  2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                  3. Problem: TV shuts down

                  i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

                  Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
                  by perzyk23
                  Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....

                  Dell 15R-5521 keyboard problem (KBC?)
                  by SDNarcia
Hello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

                  As additional information,...
