    SMQ = Nippon Chemi-con SMQ series. I assume these are the two big ones?

    The GF is probably a Samxon GF, which are unreliable.
    I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

        Yup. The primary cap is an NCC SMQ, which is fine. It's a totally different story with the CapXon on the secondary. If it's a newish PSU, then they probably haven't failed yet, but bear in mind that they do have a very poor reputation.

                yea, if the caps fail in the psu i will most likely just recap it. I also believe ive solved this issue... I reseated the everything and then updated the bios and it seems to be working fine now.
