      It's still going strong after a month of use. I've finally figured out what that heat sink was. It's an Arctic Freezer i30 (http://www.arctic.ac/worldwide_en/pr...zer-30-co.html). It makes the use of Arctic 120 PWM fans all the more appropriate
      I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

      No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

        just a month? My "new system" celebrated its 4th birthday this month.....and thats 4 years of 24/7/365!! its present was being reloaded with server 2008, replacing XP64

          Yeah, I know. I'm just glad that my improvised CPU cooler mounting seems to be working. I was kind of worried that it would either not be tight enough and the CPU would run hot, or too tight and damage the motherboard. It seems like I got it right, thankfully.

            Desktops dying? Since when? I think the gaming pc market is a bit to large for that :P especially since a lot of people were disappointed by the "next-gen" consoles, I've seen a lot more people buying desktops. But maybe I'm just biased
