Both Intel and Samsung are about business...
The SSDs I have are:
The 32G in a netbook. This one is probably being beat on the most because it's near 100% utilization as well as being the oldest. Running Gentoo Linux only, on it.
The 128GB is in a laptop. Running Gentoo/Win7 dual boot. It's not near 100% used but still sees some light-moderate use building Gentoo packages on it.
The 180GB was in a desktop running Gentoo only. I had to borrow the cpu/motherboard to power another machine that died so I am not using the SSD right now, so no use at the moment until I can get replacement parts for the other machine.Comment

Hi forum.
I'm working on a macbook pro, model a1708, that is running extremely slow.
Everything on it seams to work just fine, it just works extremely slow; painfully slow; especially running macos (windows and linux actually run OKish on it, slow, but usable).
One other symptom of the problem with the machine is that the fan is always running at full speed.
This machine has been worked on by someone else previously; they tried to repair it, but with no success. The motherboard does have sings of being worked on, but it all looks good/OK; like... -
Hi to everyone.
I never seen something like this. I have HP Notebook 15-dy1731ms motherboard: DA0P5DMB8CO REV C that is very very slow. I tried all the basic, updating the bios, replacing ssd, replacing ram, soldering all coils, reflow CPU power supply but the laptop is still very very slow. Never seen a motherboard that is slow. CPU power suppliers 1.8 volts, the cpu barely getting hot.
What left for me to do is reflow the CPU and try manually programing the bios chip with programer.
Anyone have any idea what it can be? -

the laptop dead by water on keyboard
i open the laptop i don't find any water on the motherboard or any damage
the laptop turn on without battery
i found shorted mosfet on smbus battery i remove it the laptop turn on with a battery but not charging
the big problem is the laptop is very slow
cpu works with low speed almost 0.7ghz
i do clean me bios but samething
what make laptop works with low profile and very slow the display takes long time. -
Hi guys i have my personal MacBook Pro 2015 820-00165 board that was working fine for more than a year and one day stopped working on my original Magsafe charger. It was turning on with my bench power supply. Opened it up and while diagnosing that somehow i ended up with a shorted smc.The line which was shorted was SMC_PM_G2_EN. I removed the SMC and short was gone. So all I had was another working donor board 820-3435 which i used to program it's SMC to 820-00165 using the SMCTOOL By MuertoGB.Took that SMC and use it on my 820-00165 board .And my board started working again. PPBUS_G3H 8.56V....
