I see you paid homage to my thread.

Now what else do you have going into the rig?

    Good luck with your build.

It's going back! Epic fail! Never POSTed even once for the life of me!

I also saw messed up socket pins! But it looks like it was like that out-of-the-box!

I feel like I could get sick now..

          Wished Topcat had good 775s..

Even my lousy Soyo with the Deer back in 2001 booted..

Yup. That's typical of ASUS. Go with Gigabyte next time.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

Agreed. Don't be a ASUS worshiping lemming like my idiot classmates.

(I'd show this to the as proof but I don't want a fistfight...)

Re: RJARRRPCGP main rig part II

Something looks odd with the socket. The arrangement of some socket pins look different than on my P5QL Pro!

It looks like someone ruined socket pins!

The build quality is real good. I wouldn't expect that with the P5Q series and Maximus II Gene!

That's more like I expect with an A7N8X.
Because of a reported nForce 2 issue that makes them more prone to BIOS corruption than typical.

                And that's exactly the reason I didn't get a P5N! P5N is the nForce version of 775.

The P5QL Pro has P43 and Maximus II Gene has P45.

In fact, I have more difficulty finding a Gigabyte 775 board with non-questionable caps than with Asus before they got discontinued.

                It's vice-versa with AM3+ and 1155.

Huh? Just look for something with UD3_ or DS3_ in the model. Those are the ultra-durables, and NEVER use questionable caps. ASUS on the other hand, usually use Apaq bombs.

They've used apaq since s775. I've seen plenty of s775 and AM2 ASUS boards with Apaq polies (and in a few cases, exploded ones).

For their 775 boards, most of them of them appear to be with their DDR 3 ones.
