    Motherboard recommendations???

    Hi there!

We need to find a replacement motherboard... socket 478, something reasonably priced (cheap is good but it doesn't have to be bottom of the barrel), something that's reliable.

No plans to overclock, no bells or whistles as this pc won't be used for gaming.

Any recommendations? Any socket 478 motherboards out there that you're happy with?

    Thanks!

Asus boards are usually very solid, but I'd look up some reviews then choose on price and which features your need.

Cap wise, Asus is usually ok along with Abit.

My Biostar, made about a year and a half ago, has mostly OST caps, with a few G-Luxons around. No idea what they're using now though.

As far as good brands, EPoX seems to be doing better lately, which probably won't be much consolation to those who got burned a few years ago, but is good for them and us nowadays.
You know there's something wrong when you open up a PSU and are glad to find Teapos.
Why I don't buy cheap cases!

Biostar have been using Chemicon and Panasonic for the VRMS and ost everywhere else. Good enough for the price I suppose.
