Great....I guess this means that if I want to keep ATI cards, I'll have to go AMD.

Not that sad, i think after this somhow bugged 6xxx series i think NV has some good things to offer. IMHo the drivers from NV for both, Windows and Linux are way bether than ATI. Any way, i am not that impresed with that move of AMD. MAy be they better bought ULI before NV or even SIS. The integrated video could be an joionVenture with nv or ATI. bzut may be Intel will buy NV, then it will getting hard to get some good new GPU`s .... only very good IGP's will be there, due to the larger OEm busines,.Comment

Now see, I've been buying both AMD and ATi, so this won't affect me too much hopefully. However, I see two huge problems - less chipset options, first off, and second off, I doubt AMD will fix ATi's largest weakness - crap drivers.You know there's something wrong when you open up a PSU and are glad to find Teapos.
Why I don't buy cheap cases!

I have 3 DELL Latitude 7430 with faulty MBs and 2 DELL Latitude 7400 with broken screens.
Both have 14'' touchscreen with 30 pin eDP
I try to connect the 7430 screen to 7400 and getting picture OK. Yuppie!
So far so good...
Reboot in BIOS settings to check battery, processor type , etc. everything is OK even the touch is working.
At this point I know everything is fine with pin assignment.
I installed a Windows 10 Pro x64 and as a big surprise the touchscreen is not working!
There is no mention about touchscreen in Device Manager… no device with yellow... -
Hi!
I have this mini pc that doesn't want to start.
When I plug in the charger it goes into protection mode.
I check the input pins in resistance mode and they are not shorted.
But in diode mode its 0.174V
When I opened it up I saw something new, no input mosfet, just big diodes next to the charging port. I checked on the coils for shorts but didn't find anything suspicious. Only the CPU coils have low resistance but that should be normal because it's an 11th gen I7.
I injected some voltage to find the short but the board was only... -
01.This model uses a 300W USB type adapter and the ADAPTER_ID voltage is 3.0V/Resistor used is 750 Ohms(On internet it's mentioned as 8.6K ohms)
02.This model will give "Underrated Adapter Warning" if you turn it on with Adapter only. Once battery is connected,it charges and the adapter message goes away.(Wasted 2 Hrs trying to fix that)
03.This model wont power up by switch only on adapter(Will boot directly on adapter only if cmos removed). Will power on with button only when adapter+battery is connected.
