Aww man, now you made me real jelous...

Running my all new Xeon rig with an old poor 10k RPM Compaq 19GB SCSI drive is not "the way it's supposed to be" :P

Good lord no! I phased out all my 18.2 giggers over a year ago. I've got big box full out in the shop. I'm still running a pair of 18gb scsi320's running in a 36gb RAID0 on my system, lets see any SATA raid touch this The controller has 128mb of cache on it, and the HDD's have 8mb each as well. It rips the strip!!

9 and 18gb drives get put into desktop duty here.
          and those old 10k drives will still stomp a raptor anyday!try playing a dvd .vob,ripping a mp3,,and websurfing on a p4 3.0 with ide.
i do more than that on an old vp6 with a cheetah x15 on a 2940u2w and dont have any problem.tha guy who worked for the store had a p4 3.0 that couldnt do half what mine could .told him the best thing was the mobo, procs, and ram was free! had to install a handfull of caps.

            Apple Macbook A1707 Hard disk
            by Eleways
            Hi

I've an Apple macbook A1707 with Hdd defect.

This product don't work with a normal Hard disk, but the hard disk it's a BGA component on the logic board.

            My question is:
Can i exchange the hard disk, by desolder the bga Hard disk and replacing this?

Can i replace with a different one (es 500 gb instead of 250 gb)

This Macbook has T1 security check.

            Thanks and best regards

ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING - M.2_2 port not working correctly with SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD
            by DynaxSC
            Hi,

I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.

Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.

The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:
            • The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
            • POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
            by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
            1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
            2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
            3. Problem: TV shuts down

            Macbook 820-3115 Missing hard Disk
            by Instafixx
            Hello,

I have a Macbook 820-3115 with the question mark sign.

            Replaced the cable.
            Tried a New SSD.

            Issue Persists.

Cleaned the and Soldered the Connector of the Hard Disk on the board. It worked once and then again the same.
Went ahead and replaced the connector. Still the same.

What can be at fault here.
