    Post anything else computer-related!

Ok, occasionally in the process of discussion, we tend to get off-topic in describing other computer problems or whatever else... So I figured a dedicated section would help avoid that. This can be used for anything computer-related... If you have a computer problem that's not capacitor related, post it here.

If you just want to show off that new system, or a website ya built, post that too... There's enough of a computer nerd crowd in here now that I'm sure you'll get an answer to any question you might have.

You should post this in it's own new thread.

this means that in this thread(because he didn't open new section, did he?) anything computer related(unrelated to caps) goes.

so yeah, why not bomb this thread with everything...
at least untill he figures he didn't open new sub-forum...heh...

MEDION erazer e30 not turning on
                    by Batxokns
Hello my friends, I used to be a nerd and play a lot when young. I’ve been working and studying for years without playing. I recently bought on an auction website a:

                    Medion Erazer e30 MD62445
                    msn 40081754
                    i5 12th rtx 3050

at the description it says Bios Protected, but the laptop just arrived and when I turn it on, the light of the keyboard turn on, and it switch off instantly. The HD light turn on and off after 2 sec, when the power light switch 3 times and off.

can someone help me? I tried to access the bios without success.

                    would...

                    Samsung UN65KU6290F fails again
                    by valvashon
Samsung UN65KU6290F- this is the Buy Nothing TV that I received several years ago and just got around to fixing last December. The board had a failed MOSFET and dual diode and would blow the fuse the instant power was applied. Replaced both MOSFET's and that dual diode in that part of the supply and it stared workign again. Now, 6 months later, it developed a screen problem overnight. Last night it was working fine, then this morning I have a bunch of random vertical lines. Sound works and you can tell that you are changing channels, you just can't really see anyting on the screen. It's been on...

Help: Looking for guru input on upgrading an S12II-based PSU
                    by em132
The supply in question is an unused/"NOS" Antec EA-500 "80-Plus" (not the "Bronze") with Seasonic's early "500W" S12II board. While I don't yet have this supply in hand, I fully expect it to be filled with OST RLS and RLX. I plan to replace these with FR/FS Panos (mostly).

Of course, I also plan on replacing the big kahuna on the primary side. To that end, I'm currently holding a pageant to determine who'll wear the tiara. Here are the four finalists:

Recently my father-in-law sent my wife and I out to Arkansas from SLC, Utah to pick up a van. Weird, but true. My father-in-law owns an auto repair shop and found this beefed-out van with a wheelchair lift (I guess those are really expensive).

The woman we picked it up from was getting rid of her father's estate after he passed.

While we were there - she had opened his garage to give us the extra seat for the van - I saw an oscilloscope sitting in the corner. I guess the guy was an engineer. One of the really really smart ones that worked on projects 12 levels above...
