    line when copying

We have an hp color laserjet CM1312nfi MFP all-in-one printer up at work. When ever I copy something i get a line on the left side of the document. Any advice as to what the problem may be would be much appreciated.

    Re: line when copying

I have had the problem many times with laser printers, usually helps to swap out the toner cartridge, however in printers that usually means more then just the container with the powder in it. In copiers the container with powder is sometimes separate from the drum and all the rest of the bits.

Had a copier once with the same issue, i think it started when someone decided to use overhead paper not made for copiers in it. Something got stuck somewhere and were lines there since.

What i think you have to do is swap the imaging drum. Dont know if its something separate or if its a big unit with most of the wear and tear parts in it.

I might have used the wrong terminology since im no pro repairman when it comes to these things :P

Define the problem more completely. Does it occur when printing, or only when copying (and presumably sending a fax)? How wide is it? If it's only when scanning, it's either something blocking the scanning sensor, or a dead sensor.

          Re: line when copying

Does this only occur when copying?

What happens if you print a black and white text page without the copier is the line gone?

If so that rules out anything in the printing section of the unit the laser module, drum, and transfer roller aren't causing this.

This only leaves you will dust or dirt in the optical train of the copier or as Bill said a bad sensor or sensor control board issue.

Bad black cartridge/drum assembly. Using a remanufactured one? Don't. They don't replace the drum.

It is only when copying or scanning. It's a quarter of an inch thick. I can assure you the glass is clean. At first I thought it was an issue with calibration because the black strip covering the calibration strip on the glass has been worn down by someone using abrasive cleaners (white is showing in some areas of the strip). Looks like it's a sensor or something with the optical train. What can I do? Hopefully I do not have to order from the overpriced HP site. haha. thanks again!!

Samsung UN50TU8000FXZC shows thin horizontal green line when warm

                Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

                Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line

                Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

                Hoping to fix...

Running Line Voltage and Integrating LED Pods - Automotive
                by FALKLAN
Howdy everyone! I hope all is well where ever you are!

I'm attempting to integrate a couple of LED pods into an automotive reverse lamp circuit. The problem being, while the vehicle is running there is a 8.5v current present on the reverse lamp power wire. Needless to say is that all LED pods and lights dimly illuminate while the 8.5v is present, so the LEDs are always powered on while the vehicle is running. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the voltage changes to 12 volts.

I am uncertain how to convert this line into a switched 12v output line for the LED pods....

ASUS GTX 1650 Gpu.Initialize Interrupt request line stuck asserted
                by mindoverflow
                hello,

there is an asus gtx1650 which displays fine in windows but if i run a benchmark test it displays artifacts and the driver crashes after a second or two.

I changed pads and thermal paste.

I run mats test but it is reporting 0 errors.

I then tried to run the mods version 400.271_1650 test, it first ran and stopped with a 'breakpoints limit reached after 5 retries' error and the fans went full speed.

After a reboot, I tried to run the test again, but now the test fails and says "ERROR: Couldn't clear GPU's interrupt...

Nintendo 2DS SD Card Reader issue. Problem on the clock line?
                by Technomancer
I have a 2DS that I am working on that has a problem reading SD cards. It knows that card is in the slot (which, means the detect pin is working anyway) but it says it can’t read the card.

Here is what I have done so far:
-Tried SD card in another 2DS and on PC, works great.
-Tried piggybacking another SD card slot (just so I didn’t have to take the other one off), same issue.
-Compared voltage drop readings from a working 2DS to the faulty one. All reads are very close except one, the 7th pin from the left, with the pins closest to you, which I believe...
