    "Duuude!"

It's targeted at the Apple eaters- they'll think paying an absurd price somehow makes their bending over justified.

With C2Ds and I3/5/7s, Apple stuff has never had more in common with PCs, yet the prices are still up there. Take the ipad- "only" ~$850 and NO PORTS... "But it gotz wireless and a neat magnetic self-supporting stand thingy."

    They're all nuts.

      Two points:
1 read the name of the company again. Eh?
....they are definitely from "Another World".

2 as was already said....most of their customers for that stuff are MAC owners.
      ....(editorial, deleted)

      What more can we say?

It settled then... going to buy some cheap ram, figure out a way to program those spid chips to whatever, print out some fancy labels, and then proceed to financially rape yuppies.

I was lookin at Newegg and they have 4GB ddr-1333 laptop dimms for less than $20USD with free next day shipping for me since im close to their memphis warehouse.

Im a bit torn though on getting a 2gb that way i would have a maching pair in my laptop... but honestly for an extra 2 gigs for around $5 I would be stupid to go smaller.

Of course they take perfectly normal PC RAM
Just some of the older (G5) computers are really picky about having dentical matched pairs.

I almost forgot about high priced HDMI cables.

But they have gold plated contacts man! I can tell the difference in picture quality between gold plated contacts and not .

Targeted at the same group of people who think wrapping caps in wood will improve the audio quality and they're willing to pay for it.

Come to think if it I never gave it much thought what are standard video and audio connectors normally plated with chrome (for silver) and yellow nickel (for that off gold color)?

                              Hi All,

I bought some used Xbox one controllers "as is/untested" and they both have the same issue. The joysticks go wild for no reason while plugged in.

                              https://youtube.com/shorts/YTYtjUPkBX0?feature=share

I removed both joysticks assuming it was an issue with the sticks, but the video posted here is the activity of the sticks with no sticks installed! My only guess is one of the tiny IC's that reads the inputs is broken. There are two small ones near either joystick, and then one larger one. I found a replacement on Aliexpress for the larger one...

                              by Briesmith
I am trying to repair a Yamaha DXR10 powered amplifier but finding it difficult because I have a smoking resistor which starts to burn as soon as I switch power on. (So I have it turn it off straight away.) The fuses don't blow and I connect a dim bulb which goes dim so no straight short to find. I have attached a marked up circuit diagram and I am looking for help in identifying the best place to look for what's causing the excessive power draw. Needless to say the amp isn't working. The mosfet circled in red was the start of my problem when it exploded. I replaced it and the resistor network...

My tv will work for a while and change channels with the remote as it should but then it will stick on one channel only and work ok but it won't change channels. I have tried unplugging it for hours and whilst unplugged pressing the power button on the tv to reset it.

The volume button on the remote still works but it just won't change channels once it decides to stick on one channel

It has built in basic freeview tv here in the uk, I've tried doing an automatic search to reset the tv but nothing works.

                              DDR1 2GB Ram Sticks - NF4 only?
                              by bigbeark
I have two sticks of 2GB DDR1 RAM. They are Kingston KHX3200AK2/2GB sticks.

I did a search and the motherboard I could see that could use these is a DFI Lanparty Socket 939 board based on the NF4 chipset.

I see on Ebay that there are Foxconn Winfast, Albatron and Biostar boards that use the NF4 chipset. They are all infested with KZG caps.

Was the NF4 chipset bad? I thought they were high-performance. Then why KZG caps?

RAM Confusion, Elitedesk 800 G2 Tower
                              by Mealticket
All - I'm baffled. I have the HP Elitedesk 800 G2 tower PC, with i7 6700. It came with 2 Kingston 8GB sticks of 2133 RAM which worked fine.. I bought my Dad the Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF and swapped the Kingston into that as he needed something ASAP. The SFF came with 2 Hynix 4GB sticks which I installed in my tower and they worked fine. Then when I tried to upgrade my tower back to 16GB, I went with 2 8GB G.Skill Aegis sticks using the NewEgg memory finder, and the fun began. That memory wouldn't work at all. I got an error, 2E1, memory size error. Then, after I tried to put the Hynix modules back...
