Re: Model HY554 USB 3D SOUND
Those things do not need a driver. If it says it's not detected, it is faulty. Go get it exchanged.
PS. Don't expect it to sound good. I bought one out of curiosity and it works but it sounds like ****.Originally posted by PeteS in CARemember that by the time consequences of a short-sighted decision are experienced, the idiot who made the bad decision may have already been promoted or moved on to a better job at another company. -
Re: Model HY554 USB 3D SOUND
unless you're running like windows 98, I dont' think there is a generic usb audio processor driver in 98Cap Datasheet Depot: http://www.paullinebarger.net/DS/

by nickgronkJust picked up an iMac powerpc for $1 at auction. changed pram. This is working. Problem, barely any sound. I have everything cranked up in software, reset nvram/pram - nada. I do get sound ONLY if I plug in a powered speakers in headphone port. I do not get the startup bong.
I get almost no sound with normal headphones. I mean, you can barely hear it. Took the board out and by eye found these 2 inductors broken. Not sure if they are for sound. Speaker is also plugged in and I tried a normal pc speaker in its place - still zilch. Are these inductors the culprit?

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).
I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but... -
