Did not fix. The issue with these sets is the memory chip, as explained, has a lifespan. The only way to repair is to program and install a new mem chip. I found this video which explained the process. He repairs the boards for 200$ +, I sent this tv straight to recycling.Did not fix. I did find the schematics (posting it here in case someone happens upon this thread). Checked all inductors and all check good. 820-1257-A
L12 is factory. I checked other images of these boards, all look the same. Funny how Apple used a jumper wire from an inductor to a capacitor.
Checked the external speaker jack and it's clean. My first thought was to remove as it seems that is is blocking onboard sound. Same with headphone jack.
I'm stumped at this point. Will remove the STEWARD V201R-00 thing and see if I get internal sound. I believe that external is...

Hisense 55H6570F boots, loads then shuts down -
I have a Hisense 55H6570F that gets the the boot loading screen for android and then shuts down. Oddly I hear a crackle on the mainboard as shown in the picture - nothing looks blown. The tv will boot every time, but when it reaches the loading statge of the anroid logo you can hear crackling on the board and it shuts down. What am I looking for (other than buying a new set) ? Inside the square is where I hear the crackling

iMac PowerPC G4 very low sound • Sunflower Model
Just picked up an iMac powerpc for $1 at auction. changed pram. This is working. Problem, barely any sound. I have everything cranked up in software, reset nvram/pram - nada. I do get sound ONLY if I plug in a powered speakers in headphone port. I do not get the startup bong.
I get almost no sound with normal headphones. I mean, you can barely hear it. Took the board out and by eye found these 2 inductors broken. Not sure if they are for sound. Speaker is also plugged in and I tried a normal pc speaker in its place - still zilch. Are these inductors the culprit?
I cannot find any schematics...Last edited by piernov; 08-06-2024, 02:51 PM.

Does anyone know of a suitable replacement for this resistor. I am having a hard time finding a good replacement.

Re: 64PN5500 | BN44-00618A Main fuse keeps popping
Both bridge rectifiers taken out of circuit to be sure. Both are perfect,
• On a whim, I replaced with another fuse from another PS board (same t12), did not solder in the bridge rectifiers (so none on the board), screwed the board back down, plugged in and turned on. Fuse is ok. ...
• Soldered the bridge rectifiers back in. Did not mount the board, laid it on rubber mat. Powered on and "zap" went the fuse.

64PN5500 | BN44-00618A Main fuse keeps popping
Power supply board BN44-00618A keeps blowing main fuse and nothing plugged in to it.
I was gifted a 64PN5500AF, picture was amazing, but tv smelled like cigarettes and was dusty AF. I opened it up, blew all the dust out of it, removed PSB & main, and cleaned the metal underneath. Also blew all the dust off all other boards. Put the power supply back in, then mainboard. Soon as I turned it on there was a "pop".
The main fuse (T12AH250V) blew
I removed the power supply to be sure nothing underneath, all good....

Re: Vizio M50-C1 will not power on
lol. I attempted the EZ-Bake oven method. Did not work. Ordered another board from tvpartstoday for $45.

Re: Vizio M50-C1 will not power on
Yep, after reading through these threads looks like I need to find a new board. Super odd though. The tv works perfectly for a few minutes, then the left side goes out, turns pink with a sh|t ton of lines. Then sometimes comes back, then pink lines. Also noticed the remote stopped working as soon as the left side went wonky. Posting some pics.
Would anyone consider a reflow? Does it work? Bunch of ppl on FB marketplace giving away toaster ovens......

Re: Vizio M50-C1 will not power on
any idea why the left half of this Vizio M50-C1 tv fades and goes grey? TV works for a few minutes then left side goes wonky. Right side is perfect....

Re: Westinghouse WG50UR4100 Am I getting scammed?
Sadly, I recorded opening the box, only. Jerk even took the bubble wrap and threw all components in the box. So, I didn't record the board. I found out what he did when I tried to hook it up to test. had to look a lot closer.
P.S. Still trying to figure out how he got dual screens, going to send the image to a photoshop forum lol.
EDIT: What gets me about the image now, is that the loading rings appear in a different loop/loading.. the loading circle on the right is further advanced...
