iMac PowerPC G4 very low sound • Sunflower Model

Just picked up an iMac powerpc for $1 at auction. changed pram. This is working. Problem, barely any sound. I have everything cranked up in software, reset nvram/pram - nada. I do get sound ONLY if I plug in a powered speakers in headphone port. I do not get the startup bong.
I get almost no sound with normal headphones. I mean, you can barely hear it. Took the board out and by eye found these 2 inductors broken. Not sure if they are for sound. Speaker is also plugged in and I tried a normal pc speaker in its place - still zilch. Are these inductors the culprit?
I cannot find any schematics for this board. I don't want to disturb anything.

Machine is working rather well otherwise. This is the Sunflower model , not the tower

L12 lower left has been previously fucked with too.
but with apple stuff your first place to look is surface mount electrolytic caps
if theres a lot then start at the speaker jack and work your way back through the soundpath.
    schematics will be online

Some iMac G4 schematics are available, find you logic board model number 820-**** and post your request in the desktop schematics request section if you cannot find it. The circuit you are looking at is indeed an audio amplifier, but the top of the inductors being slightly damaged like this is almost never a cause of concern, as long as the wire itself is intact. However it may mean the machine has seen rough days so you should check for any other physical damage (including inside the audio jack port).

I did find the schematics (posting it here in case someone happens upon this thread). Checked all inductors and all check good. 820-1257-A

L12 is factory. I checked other images of these boards, all look the same. Funny how Apple used a jumper wire from an inductor to a capacitor.

Checked the external speaker jack and it's clean. My first thought was to remove as it seems that is is blocking onboard sound. Same with headphone jack.

I'm stumped at this point. Will remove the STEWARD V201R-00 thing and see if I get internal sound. I believe that external is blocking somewhere,. somehow.

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
          by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB (Chassis SR) TV Repair Help - Distorted Subwoofer Sound and overall weird sound waveforms
          by LEECH666
          Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

iMac 21.5" - power up chime but no sound once OS is loaded
          by survivalbloke
Have a 21.5" 2013 iMac here. Did a RAM upgrade and the oddest thing, we can't get any sound after it's booted. So Youtube, etc, nothing. We do get the startup chime though. In sound properties, all we see is the digital output. Did a little reading to discover possibly inserting a 3.5mm headphone into the jack would trip it back off the digital setting but that's not the case it seems. The headphone jack is verified connected to the logic board.

          Any insights?

Marian Trace Alpha sound card repair help
          by Christos Tsiligiannis
          Hello to the forum.

My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.

To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.

So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...
