Actually if anything the problem is even worse in the US due to higher current draw.

Looking at the photo of the cross section, the insulation doesn't look to be the problem.

Never seen or heard of power cable doing this (US)

I have had a cell phone charger do this but the problem was a busted wall socket outlet.

bright sparks, loud pops and cracks, smoke, i almost shart my self.

being young and dumb i closed my eyes and pulled it out the wall instead of running to the breaker box. (OLD ass, circa 1970, breakers didnt do their job so well..)

i also have seen USB cables do this, fried to a burnt crisp, the end luser thought that a little force would make the "UBS toe nail drive" work, instead it caused a short, smoke, pops, ring ring "my computer wont turn on"

A while ago (a few years) I had a cheapo PSU cable/plug crap out on me, it started making small sparking noises, and the PSU was going on and off a lot, from losing power. Dunno what brand it was, but I might be able to dig it up, as I don't think I even got rid of it.

                    Hi,

Is there available any Android Fire TV ROM backup ( Fire TV Firmware ) which I can download, save on USB stick and then load into the TV ?

I have got JVC LT-50CF810 Fire TV with firmware not working properly.

Thank you very much for any support.

                    Regards.

GRT60-145410 brick PSU, how much of a fire hazard is this thing exactly?
                    by spleenharvester
I bought an Alpicool C20 fridge, which is a 60W compressor fridge that runs on 12V or 24V, which can come from either an AC/DC adapter from mains (240V here in UK) or a car battery. The fridge itself is really good quality, so I was surprised to find the power supply (DC14.5V, 4.1A) pretty questionable. Despite being 240V/1.5A the plug was fitted with a 13A fuse - concerning, but not all that uncommon for imported chinese electronics here. But when I felt how light the brick was I immediately said hell no and transferred the proprietary connector to a MeanWell GS90A12-P1M brick (this supply is...

                    Hello forum friends.
I want to ask for help diagnosing this GPT52 LA-k201p HP 250 G8 card (without dedicated GPU).
The motherboard turns on and consumption is 2.2A (CPU fire)
                    All voltages seem OK.
                    The coil resistances are these
