    Ceramic capacitor from Samsung monitor 68K 1KV

    sorry but this 68K is causing me some confusion... (image uploaded)

    is the K the 10% tollerance?
    is 68K just 68 pico? (i have some 101 replacement 3KV.. maybe i can use those)

      It depends on the circuit, but if this is just a snubber cap, 100pf should be ok to replace the 68pf
      The K should be 10% tolerance

              Description:
              During maintenance on an RTX 2070 SUPER Founders Edition, I found a capacitor lying on my desk after reassembly.
              I did not notice it detaching, so I am unsure of its original location on the PCB.

              Procedure performed:
              - Removed backplate
              - Cleaned heatsink and PCB with isopropyl alcohol + soft ESD brush
              - Reapplied thermal compound
              - Reassembled card

              Observed behavior after reassembly:
              - GPU powers on and operates normally under...

              I read EBOOK of Testing Electronic Component and found that

              "In order to test the small blue resin coated ceramic disk capacitor which has 104 50v specification,it is possible to test this small ceramic capacitor by making use of analogue meter.
              Set to times 10Kohm that has 12v output from the probe to check disorder of ceramic capacitor.
              It is not uncommon that testing result of digital capacitance meter is okay,But It show shorted reading when you check it with analogue meter."

              Hi there!
              Someone gave me their old monitor, it's Dell S2715ht.
              The owner was using it when his PSU began to smell and then to smoke. It literally began to melt. He turned the monitor off, pulled the PSU, and ditched it because it was smelly even after it cooled. So I got the monitor but not the plug.
              Now, I tried to bring the monitor back to life, by plugging one of my many Dell laptop PSUs. They are of the same 19.5V, and the wattage of the laptop PSU is higher than that which the monitor is rated for. Visually, the socket on the monitor seems compatible, and the plug plugs...
