    >>> it feasable that these 15 electrolytics would boil due to overheating, and not one other single component in the system fail? <<<

    Absolutely!
Other parts don't have to deal with pressure effects from liquids, gases, and gases in solution.

Capacitors are filled with liquid which expands and contracts with temperature even if there is no significant gas present at first.
Heat them up enough and they are going to pop.
    -
In fact heating them up -too fast- can do the same thing if there is gas present. Warm them up at expected heat-up rates and some gas goes back into solution countering the effects of the expanding liquid. Heat them up way too fast and the gas can't absorb (get out of the way) fast enough for the expanding liquid. - Pressure spike.

Foxconn is that actual manufacturer for (most if not all) Intel boards and has been for several years. - A little outsourcing fact Intel would like to keep hidden from the public.

"brain fart" as Bonez so well puts it.

        Gonzo
I would just use polymer capacitors in this case, they have superior endurance at high temperature, lower ESR and lower Z and a very high ripple current rating.
Half the capacitance should be sufficient in case of polymer cap replacement.
thats the bit I was trying to recall and put in correct terms thanks

            Hello dear friends,
I download the software for the programmer T48 TL866-3G
            my HP ProBook 430 G5 2VP86EA with
motherboard model: DA0X8BMB6F0 rev F and
            BIOS CHIP model: 25B127DSIG BIOS
            is showed there 4 times:

So I don't know which version should i choose if I used the test clip cable?
if I choose the wrong option, can it make damage to the chip or to one of the laptops while I used the test clip cable? because I have no experience in soldering....

ps4 power supply resistance out of order, what to choose?
            by fab13
            Hello

After checking this resistor which gives no value on the ohmmeter on a PS4 SLIM power supply.
I would like to change it but by which power I can choose it knowing that this resistor is on the primary part that is to say on the 230/400 V side

Value 16.8 Ohm normally according to color code (See photo)

            1st ring = Brown = 1
            2nd ring Blue = 6
            3rd ring Grey = 8
            4th ring OR Multiplier = x0.1 Ohm
            5th ring Red = +/- 2 %.

Tolerance of either + or - 0.336 ohms

Dimension of the resistor Length = 6.4mm,...

How to choose a substitute mainboard
            by learnmore
            Hello again Community

Anyone verse on how you go about choosing a substitute mainboard for your TV repair. Like the chap in the video below sometimes a 1:1 replacement board is too expensive and reballing a mainchip(s) maybe outside of your skillset . In the video the poster states one needs to match the replacement board with the SMPS, T-con (if not built in) and panel (and substitute cabling be also be required).

I'm very interested in choosing a suitable replacement board for any model or make of TV and the general (or detailed if your willing) step this entails....

Input Filter Filling: How to Choose Components?
            by cheese007
Recently acquired one of those silly Logisys acrylic power supplies and lucked into getting one of the "better" ones (most of an input filter, bridge rectifier instead of 4 diode treatment, OK-sized heatsinks, etc.) and wanted to fill out what I can on the board + get some decent caps on there (especially the primary side since I highly doubt the ones in there are actually 1000uf). My questions are:

            1. How do I know what components to install re: the input filter? It seem to be missing an X cap, a resistor, and a Y cap.
            2. Where can I find a good heatsink for the bridge...
