    Anyone tried Rubycon ZLG?

I think it was last season (or the one before) I saw these were coming on the market. Although now they're in stock, at farnell, the highest they seem to have are puney 560uF.

Anyone managed to try them out yet. ?

interesting to see farnell keeping such ancient stock. I prefer MCZ.

Well, 3000h @ 8mm diameter is probably better then MCZ and the ESR isn`t that much higher, compared with MCZ series.

Also caps don't work as well if stored for years and then used.

          bah...

Thought they were a new product, atleast first time I'd spotted them.

          Agree specs look decent.

            Re: Anyone tried Rubycon ZLG?

I have bought some genuine Rubycon ZL 470uF 25v from a surplus store for abouth 0,08€ each.
Sure they are a while on storage, but they are working fine as expected.
I have experimented a little with reformation as advised by Rubycon, but i haven`t noticed a dramatic difference in doing it or not ( the initially higher leakage current will vanish in any way, if put at a DC voltage).
Only a few HV caps from ROE have performed better after doing it.

Need real mobo dump of BIOS v402 for ASUS PRIME Z590-A - stock image no help
              by DynaxSC
              Hi,

I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.

Usually on ASUS boards it worked...

MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 - real bios dump from board needed (no stock bios)
              by DynaxSC
Hi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).

I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. Tried with a similar board, but there are too much differences, and the stock BIOS is missing a lot of...

Xbox 360 Xenon Modern Capacitor Replacements
              by burom
I found my old Xbox 360 in storage and opened it up to see if there was anything that broke since it was built in 2006 (launch era Xenon revision, never red ringed, never been serviced) and didn't want to find out by releasing magic smoke. Upon moving the dust bunnies out of the way I was greeted by a bunch of capacitors with crud coming out of the top; it doesn't seem to have leaked onto the board so at least I have that going for me.

I'm posting here because I want to try to source replacement caps myself from Mouser or Digikey instead of braving eBay or waiting for places to have...

Is it okay to flash stock bios onto the motherboard's BIOS?
              by AkaBukai
              Hi there,
              I have a 14" Lenovo Laptop (Flex 5 14ALC05) which has a boot issue.
The little LED on the power button is flashing slowly and nothing happen.
This unit do not have any BIOS button cell battery so I tried many times draining the power but it is still not powering on.

So I decided to flash the BIOS using a cheap programmer.
And I was successfully able to read the content (exactly 16MB file) which BTW is a WINBOND 74m12jwsiq (according to the package inscription - but detected as W25Q128FW in the software - IMSProg on Linux)

              I also...

Looking for best replacements for Capxons, but can't find data sheets
              by withalligators
Recapping the power supply board for a Samsung 305T monitor, everything is Capxon except 2 Rubycons. I can't find data sheets matching these online, so don't know what ripple numbers, impedence, etc, to look for. There are a few different looking GL series data sheet PDFs, but the listing that matches the capacitance and voltage is a much bigger case size. I've narrowed down selections with lead spacing and case diameter, and what's in stock at Digi-key

1 x Capxon 1000uf35v GL C720(is this a part number or batch number, can't find it anywhere) 105c
