This mb is stable as a rock. I have it as my main daily use PC since April 2010 and never had a problem EXCEPT recapping the KZGs that became bad at October 2011.

The only complain is that it is picky with RAM. I 've had hard time making it boot with some dimms, now it boots without a problem with 1x512MB and 1x1024MB. I think it can't accept 2GB dimms either.
You must have an old revision. I got one of those boards that had 100% Panasonic caps except for one 3300uF 6.3V KZG and guess what, it was bad and as far as I know, it only takes up to 2GB @ 533MHz

So, you think this is the reason that when I put 1GB in place of the 521mb dimm it goes mad and refuses to post?

The ram now runs in 667MHZ. Correct me if I am wrong please.

Did you manually adjust the speed in the BIOS?

          If I remember correctly yes.

I made it boot with 2x1GB DDR2! It wasn't easy at all though..

I think the memory controller is terrible. Every time I chose "automatic configuration" in bios it failed to boot with more than 1 dimm installed!

I had to select "manual - User defined" select the right timings and ddr2 speed and then save changes and reboot. Then, install the second identical dimm and press the power button and hope for the best. If the system did not boot I would remove the second dimm and try again... After many attempts it finally posted with both the dimms recognized. I was also able to select 667MHZ speed and aggressive latency settings and let it run memtest overnight to make sure I get no errors.

It runs in single channel though. Maybe, when set to auto config it tries to run them dual channel and fails. I don't have a clue why it does that.

I upload screenshots showing the fastest settings it can run without problem.

I used to have a board exactly like that. It booted first go with two 1GB RAM Modules installed. It wasn't any more picky about the RAM than any other board. Bear in mind, though, though, that those Intel boards with ATI chipsets were actually made by ASUS (note the backwards capacitor polarity markings) - It probably explains why they don't always work right.

In general, though, I've actually had really good luck with Foxconn-made Intel boards - I'll quite happily use one over ASUS or ECS any day. Some of the 945 and 915 boards got hot VRMs, but with a few modifications (such as heatsinks on the FETs), I've found them to be quite solid, reliable boards. Other than a handful of VRM failures, the only other failures I've had with them were one or two where the customer lived right on the coast and there was obvious corrosion everywhere, and one that got killed by lightning. I've never found them to be all that picky about anything either.

I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards
