Alright, it seems like somehow the external 19v regulated powersupply had a voltage spike when it was powering down and spiked my great computer.. from what i can see there are two what appears to be capacitors, used to be tannish in color, probably a ceramic surface mount, burnt to hell... I measured one side of the capacitors and it does see the 19v when connected to the wallplug. so im guessing this is some sort of input power filter or something. nothing else appears to be burnt.. and nothing else seems to get any power anywhere else except where it ends at those two caps. Now im wondering, what can i do to replace these caps? i dont even think there is any markings on them, the only thing i can see is maybe size, there are a few somewhat larger ceramic caps on the board, but it seems that these two are probably related to the ones that are a little smaller (maybe 1/8 times smallr) than the larger ones. is it possible to throw any sized surface mount cap on here? and do you guys think that anything else may be blown?
i can take some pictures if needed.
