Are you going to attempt to get your money back? You should at the very least give them negative feedback

Those are so badly faked it's actually funny

Look how far in the sleeving is pulled on one of them

This kind of reminds me of the time when the discription and title suggested they were NCC Polies, but they were actually Sacon FZ Time to stick 'em in a fire or or overvolt them

I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

As far as I know, Rubycon MCZ has a dark blue sleeve with gold print.

                    lol

Look at how the bungs are from a grab bag.

Some are circled, some are wavy, some are flat, some are shiny, some are dull.

Would be cool if we could get a pictorial dissection to see what is inside them!

if the geometry of those pics is correct there is no way those are 8x20mm.
                      or should they be 8x25?
either way everything i see is FAKE!
                      good move outing the seller.
still dont know why folks roll the dice on fakebay to save pennies.

I suppose I should chime in here..

I have some experience re-capping.. but no means a veteran. I'm learning. All my caps had come from Mouser so far EXCEPT these. Some may wonder why fleabay... not know no better... 'till now... but knew enough to see something wasn't right. I'm sure there are some honest cap sellers on the bay though. Yea, I intend to return them... with negative feedback. The guy can't count either.. sent me 21 caps and ad was for 25.

I have learned much from BadCaps folks and want to thank ALL who help out lesser knowing ones as myself. If not for the people here, I may have never known about FAKERS and installed them in someone's board.

FWI.. they all tested just above 1400uf... and most measure 8x20

Thanks again everyone. I wish I knew half of what the pros do, I may then understand what a board I just capped with all Mouser caps won't turn on. :>)

You should keep four, and take them apart

If the seller asks why there aren't 25, just tell them, I only received 21 caps :P

My cheap crappy 1KW grid tie inverter (GTI) seems to keep blowing IGBTs. When I first got it, it had two failed IGBTs. It used four 60N100's (TO264). I bought 5 from a dubious source (fleabay) and replaced just the two that were dead. The GTI worked for almost two years but recently one of the two that I replaced failed. Since I had three spares, I replaced the dead one. Then a few weeks later it failed again. Weird. Well since I bought dubious China-sourced IGBTs from fleabay it could very well just be a mixture of fakes. I replaced it, but then a day later it failed again! I put in the last...

I decided to take one of the Rubycon capacitors out of a phat Xbox 360 with a Zephyr motherboard and noticed that all the Rubycon capacitors near the CPU were fake. The capacitors in question are Rubycon MFZ 680uf 6.3V and they all have a bullseye bottom, something not found in genuine Rubycon capacitors. None of them were leaking, they all have the K top, and the system has never been opened before. It appears Microsoft was using fake capacitors in the Xbox 360, or the Chinese facility where the console was manufactured in was using them and passing them off a genuine. Just thought I'd share...
