replacement capacitors

I have two magnavox 32MF231D/37 tvs. They were in a bar so they have had a lot of usage. They have power to the boards but no picture. From what I have read and learned on this website, some of the capacitors are bad - bulging or leaking tops.

I have found that one contributor stated that the Capxon 1200uF 35V can be replaced by Panasonic EEU-FC1V122L from Digikey (P10306-ND).

The other capacitor is an Elite 2200uF 25v. What is an equivalent?

Does Badcaps offer replacements for sale? I figure I might as well patronize the sponsor of this website, but cannot find them in their inventory.

Hi,Welcome to the forum , badcaps doesnt have these in stock at the moment. Almost anything will probably be better than an Elite try these if same physical size.

If you are only replacing the ones you can see are leaking/bulging there
may well be others that are about to go

If they dont fix it
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Thank you for your response. I have read the very informative links you posted. I really appreciate it. I have much to learn I repair exercise equipment such as treadmills and elipticals and just like to fix things, but have never attempted anything like this. Hoowever, new challenges keep the grey matter alive and well. I will take some pics and post them as I can. Life is very busy for me now and it is hard to spend a lot of time on this project although I so want to solve these puzzles.....

I see you are from the UK. I was stationed at RAF Alconbury(aerial reconnaisance photo processor) in the mid 70's and lived off base near Peterborough in a small town called Whittlesey. I truly enjoyed my years there and have an affinity for your country.
