    Crap, damaged fp cap

So I find a nice asus mb on the garbage dump - had vga,dvi and hdmi and thought it might work so I took it home.

Sure, I managed to damage a polymer cap and replaced with the closest thing I had - mb working just fine however I think the cap is a little hot.

    The cap I broke off was a Fp5K 98ak 271 16, changed it to a Fujitsu 883 271 16.

I cant seem to find datasheet for any of these two.

Had a look at Nichicon but cant find a 5k series or a 883 series either.

    Any idea ?

FP series vs. markings is a bit of a mystery...

Best I can figure, the k on the second line indicates the series, as the other series markings seem to follow that pattern. However, I can't find anything on the FP website with a "k" marking.

I thought Fp was sold to nichicon, can't find anything there either with a 'k' marking.

Dell Latitude 5530: damaged USB (type A) ports, cannot find replacements
            by DrFalken
            Hello,
Yesterday a customer brought us a Latitude 5530 with 2 damaged USB ports (type A).
The ports are made by Singatron and, checking the measurements and soldering points, the model should be this one: https://www.singatron.com.tw/en/product/file/280177-1
I checked at RS, TME, Farnell but I didn't find this model
Where can I find them? Something compatible is also fine...

Capacitor Diarrhea - Nichicon PL Series
            by DrewPhillips
Hello All, I have on the bench a couple of PSU's which have some failed Nichicon PL series caps. They didn't "puke" their guts through the top, but instead "diarrhea'ed" corrosive brown electrolyte through the bottom, down the legs and onto the board. On one cap, the electrolyte rotted the cap right off the board leaving 2 little stubs, and also corroded a trace on the foil side.

The PSU's are Power-One MAP series and are ringing-choke topology. The semiconductors have date codes in 1993. The PSU's were used in a commercial application, fan-cooled. They had failed...

ENCONTRAR DATOS DMI EN EL CHIP BIOS IDEAPAD5 15ITL05 / FIND DMI DATA ON IDEAPAD5 15ITL05 BIOS CHIP
            by danielgerman681
Hi, Im trying to find the area on the chip that contains all of my laptops information, but I havent found it. The laptop won't turn on anymore. I was updating the BIOS, and it was supposed to reboot itself, but it wouldnt turn back on. I ve tried every possible solution, every alternative on Lenovo forums, everywhere; I ve taken it to technicians, and no one has been able to fix it. I've already read the chip that contains the BIOS (Winbond 25Q128JSVQ) and searched for my laptops data, but they're nowhere to be found. I only find scribbles and lines of text indicating errors. Has anyone had a...

Where to find a very small fpc connector 0.3mm between 2 pins ?
            by corrize
Hello, I search this connector (oxydated).
It's a fpc zif low profile connector. It come from camera sensor, it is very small : 0.3mm between 2 pins.
I ordered 2 from Aliexpress called « 0.3mm pitch » but one was 0.5mm between 2 pins and the other 0.6mm. In fact « 0.3mm pitch » seams to be the pad width and not the distance between 2 pins.
I can't find it. The other websites like mouser dont show the datasheet, and I can't check if it is 0.3mm between 2 pins ?

Do you know how to find this connector please ? What is the exact name for find it ?
