    Fake Rubycon 6.3V 1800UF L.ESR?

    Will you rate these capacitors, fake or not. I got them from eBay.
    Looks to me, very bad made. Different shapes of the plastic at the bottom of the leads.

      Fake. Rubycon's don't have the "X" vent and don't have the bullseye bung.

      Real Rubycon's have a "K" vent. Also, my Rubycon MCZ are gold instead of white lettering. Here is a shot of a real Rubycon (two left ones with "K" vent) ...

          Rubycon MCZ can have white lettering, but gold is more common.

          The capacitors pictured are definitely fakes.

                  I felt it that is going to be fake, but for €1.5 I said lets try to see how it looks like. I am not going to use them.
                  Interestingly there is not complains from buyers, checked his feedback.

                      goodbuy7888 or goodbuy_____ [has several names] has sold counterfeit caps before.

                      Feedback isn't reliable for caps.

                      Few that buy them can tell the difference.
                      - Those that do wouldn't buy there [more than once anyway].

                      Usually the seller doesn't even know they are fakes.

                      Ebay isn't going to do anything about it.
                      I had a letter from Sanyo for some fakes I bought on purpose [I sent them in for Sanyo to test them] and eBay -refused- to take a copy of the letter. I offered to send via either letter mail or email and they simply didn't want a copy at all.

                          fake. All that to try and save 10 cents.... Next time buy from a reputable seller, which rules out most of the ebay cap vendors.
