Re: Foxconn 865PE7MF-SH caps
It is just flat the top of the CPU with the top of the caps.
It is a Pentium 4 531 CPU, it has a stock intel heatsink. Apparently never been cleaned since new. I will look for different heatsink. I do not want to invest much in it....

Re: Foxconn 865PE7MF-SH caps
The job is done, replaced three of them with polymer, tested and working fine.
The problem is the polymer caps are a bit higher than the original once and the heatsink sits on them, there is any problem?
Thanks

Re: Foxconn 865PE7MF-SH caps
So, do i have to replace only the bad one? I could replace all three on that side. I have only four of them for now.
Thanks...

Re: Foxconn 865PE7MF-SH caps
Yes, you 're right, those are a bit taller, the heatsink will not fit.
I have a few polymers around, are these good?...

Thank you for reply.
I have attached two photos showing clearly the caps. In fact just one among those small once is a bit swollen. The once i have are 820uf 6.3v Rubycon, the size is the same.
I had other one swollen, between PCI slot, i changed it, i had a few of them 1000uf 6.3v....Last edited by emy12; 08-29-2016, 01:35 PM.

Re: Toshiba Regza 32SL863B intermittent flickering
Well, this Led TV has tubes that could be changed or not?
I was looking for the inverter, I did not find it, you could be right that is LED driver board instead of inverter.
I have to open it again to see which one is.
For now, if after 1.30 hours of al kind of flickering, the TV works fine.
I am attaching two pictures, one when the TV was turned on, the other one after 1.30 hours of use....

Re: Toshiba Regza 32SL863B intermittent flickering
I know what you mean, this will be bigger job, more costly, involving changing the entire screen. I just do not get it why after warms up is working fine, if I leave it on all day long it is working fine. I was expected to fail totally but no is not worsening, keeps the same problems.

Re: Toshiba Regza 32SL863B intermittent flickering
Dec 2011. Now is been working great for whole day, only "cold boot" is flickering, after warms up is fine. When is working fine, I turn it off, leave it for a few minutes then turn it back on again, it flickers for a few minutes not that bad.
..tubes means the long caps?...

Toshiba Regza 32SL863B intermittent flickering
I am having now some strange issues with it, the image is flickering, started on the left side of it and after a while it stops.
Now the flickering is taking longer to stop and is getting darker on left and right side, more dark at the bottom, the middle of the screen is normal, about 20cm in length, then after a few minutes goes away, (the dark part), and keeps flickering 70% of the screen for around 1 to 2 hours, then stops and works as it should be. While flickering is still watchable….
Is out of warranty and I opened the back cover, I cleaned up all the dust, this is first...

Re: Asus P58W-LA motherboard
As I said, everything else is OK, hardware point of you.
I am saying this because now I replaced it with FOXCONN 45CMX, a fellow had a few of them new, sealed, never used.
I got it, installed Windows 7, and everything is fine now.
So the motherboard is the problem. I am still trying to fix it, to change a few more capacitors, if is not going to work, I will remove the capacitors I have replaced and throw it away.
FOXCONN 45CMX is not that strong built as the Asus P58W-LA, but...

Re: Asus P58W-LA motherboard
I do not know which once you are talking about. Maybe some of the 11x KZG 820uF 6.3v
I have lots of Nichicon HM 1000uF 6.3v, can I use them to replace some of the KZG 820uF 6.3v?
....Those three you are talking about?:
1x 16v 100uF KMG
2x 16V 220uF Radial KMG
KMG = United Chemi-Con ?
I noticed that in spite of the same colour which is the same as KZG, there are smaller once as KMG......Last edited by emy12; 06-01-2013, 03:49 PM.

Re: Asus P58W-LA motherboard
Thank you for replay.
Yes, it is post replacement. I replaced the KZG 16v 1000uF 8mm with Nichicon HN 16v 1000uF 10X16mm, five of them on left side of the CPU.
The Nichicon HN(M) 16v 1000uF 10X16mm I bought them a year ago.

Re: Asus P58W-LA motherboard
Back with the old problem.
My friend decided to go ahead to fix his PC, his laptop was down too for a week and wants to have the PC done too.
Before replacing the motherboard I changed the 5x KZG 1000 uF 16v with nichicon 1000uF 16v, but it does the same, when turn the pc, all fans start and after a few seconds it turns off.
The motherboard looks OK, no signs of burn… I am thinking what else could be, maybe the chipset Intel P965 burnt? I do not know.
The other capacitors on motherboard are:
6x polymer 820uF 2.5v...

Asus P58W-LA motherboard
Hi all,
Here is a HP PC m7000/2gb Ram/Ati video card/Pentium D processor socket 775
This the Pc of a friend. Pc keeps turning off/on by itself for ever, he said.
I just got it to have a look. First I cleaned it up. Such dust I have never seen, only from other's pictures. Five years since purchased and never been cleaned.
I checked:
-video card (replaced with one I have) OK
-Removed all other cards - the same problem
- removed all Ram memory- a good working motrherboard should have some beeps, this one nothing.

Re: Fake Rubycon 6.3V 1800UF L.ESR?
I felt it that is going to be fake, but for €1.5 I said lets try to see how it looks like. I am not going to use them.
Interestingly there is not complains from buyers, checked his feedback.
I got them from this seller:

Fake Rubycon 6.3V 1800UF L.ESR?
Will you rate these capacitors, fake or not. I got them from eBay.
Looks to me, very bad made. Different shapes of the plastic at the bottom of the leads.
Thanks

Re: Can a PSU damage the motherboard capacitors?
Thank you both for help.
I will replace the KZJ 6.3V 1800uF 8x20 ---> Nichicon HN 16v 1800uF 10x25 or Nichicon LG Polymer 6.3v 1800uF 10X13mm (i think are ok)
You mean this:
What about replacing with Nichicon LG Polymer 16v 820uF 10X13mm.
Its is ok?
By the way, it is normal for a PSU, ex:750TP Blue I have, to have a soft electrical buzzing noise which I would need to put my ear close to the PSU to hear it? 100% is not the...
