I am working on an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-46, board HH51R LA-M002P Rev: 1A with an AMD CPU and Insyde Bios rev 5.

Short issue description: BIOS does not recognize any of the DMI data.

History of the laptop:
The seller of the laptop said that it shut down during a BIOS update.
I bought in in a condition where it turned on but did not post.
While waiting for my RT809F to arrive, I tried to perform a Crisis recovery, which messed up the EC firmware, so... the laptop stopped even turning on. Power and Charging LEDs didn't work either...

I have a problem with Acer Nitro 5 AN517-52-56A5 (motherboard: GH51M LA-K862P Rev: 1A). I was playing TLoU2, which is a rather demanding game, for a few hours, unless the notebook turned off (my guess is that the battery drained to 0%). Now, when I connect the AC adapter, the LEDs are not coming on and the laptop doesn't charge.

It also shorts the AC adapter - I've checked two of them from different manufacturers. Though the AC adapter gives 19,5V as expected, the voltage drops to 0V when I connect it and disconnect from laptop - it comes back to 19,5V when I reset...

Got this (clean) laptop without any previous repair attempts or any history about it …
When I press power button, the blue led is on, but no fans no boot splash or display. The battery is charging too.
No visible faulty components are on the board.
After awhile, the CPU_Core coils (from CSD97374) [B]PL4701[/B], 4702 and 4703 are extremely hot.
The 1V_CPU_CORE = [B]1.725[/B]V [ is not this too high?] and of course the CPU itself is getting hot
Also based on other posts from here, I measured resistance between:
DCBATOUT and 1V_CPU_CORE= 620 ohm...

Hi all!

I have an acer nitro 5 notebook. The 1,05v, 1,8v and 3valwp were short.
I injected 3v on 3v rail and the pch was hot,i desoldered it.
The 1,8 and 1,05v are ok now, but the 3v still shorted.

The 3v to ground resistance is 1ohm (not zero).

Where do i find the fail?
I have schematic and boardview too.

About a year ago, I accidentally erased the firmware on the SPI ROM of a Thunderbolt retimer in my computer, mistaking it for the main BIOS chip. Since then, the Thunderbolt controller no longer appears in Device Manager, and I'm unable to use Thunderbolt functionality.

For context, my system has two retimers: UT5 and UT3. The one I erased is the UT3, which uses a W25Q80DVSSIG chip. In an attempt to fix this, I used a CH341A programmer to copy the ROM data from the UT5 retimer to the UT3, hoping it would restore functionality. Unfortunately, this didn't...

Here's an update based on my measurements:[LIST=1][*][B]+3VALWP Resistance:[/B] I measured the resistance to ground for the [B]+3VALWP[/B] rail (at PJ302 / output side of PL301). There doesn't appear to be a short circuit on this rail itself.[*][B]Enable Signal Trace (3V_EN path):[/B] I visually inspected the path for the [B]3V_EN[/B] signal, including the components in its creation circuit (DB1, RB19, RB20 on sheet 84) and the connection towards PU301 (Pin 12). I did not find any obvious trace breaks. The issue seems to be that the enable signal is not being generated...
