  • Galaxy Book Pro 360 15.6, i7, NP950QDB-KB2CA

    Hi there,
Please I need the original BIOS dump for this Samsung Book Pro2, NP950QDB-KB2CA motherboard: MARS-15. I can post the actual dump but the [cheap] CH341A programmer does not have listed this chip GigaDevice 25R127DS! Should I try it selecting a similar IC like W25Q128? Also I read the second chip [W25Q80DV] and compare to similar dump of NP950QDB-KB1US (found in this forum) it looks identical...Thanks!

  • Netgear R7200 (AC2100) no boot up

    Hi there,
Netgear router, model R7200 [similar to R6800, R6700v2] pressing power button, the WiFi LED glowing solid white, with NO Power LED light… so no boot up properly! Done the hard reset for 30/30/30sec …no change. Checked the power adaptor voltage output= 12.02V
Remove the cover and check all components … no visible damage. The inductors and solid capacitors show reasonable voltages [between 12.0, 5.0 ,3.3 and 1.0V] except L10 and C205 = 0.67V, [my guess is kind of low].
The U21 and U23 ICs [voltage reg] have similar application circuit but unable to identify...

  • Re: Macbook Pro 15", 820-2915-b, logic board failure

    Hi again,
So after quite some time, I managed to permanently disable the faulty AMD graphics by reprograming the IC Demux...Everything went well but recently this Macbook is turning off randomly by itself, sometimes after 1 or 10 min of not heavy usage. Even the resistor R8911 (Vcore) was removed, I guess the faulty graphic chip is still acting up. Removing the entire chip require some expensive equipment. What other components / coils can be easily removed and fix the issue ??? Thanks!

  • Re: Samsung Galaxy Pro 360 blank LCD display

    Hi again,
The Galaxy Pro 360, is a15 inch model: NP950QDB-KB2CA. "Samsung update" app recommended BIOS/MICON upgrade to ver. P09AKG file (6/24/2022). Using the external monitor, the BIOS upgrade went ok but same situation: blank screen, no backlight, no image. The SM3210B (Silicon Mitus ?) could be a AMOLED Display Power Supply...Can anyone can share the original BIOS dump for this model.

  • Samsung Galaxy Pro 360 blank LCD display

Samsung Galaxy Pro 360 laptop like new condition, power up with no splash screen/logo, black screen, boot-up on Window 10 and works fine on external display. Remove the back cover and there is no signs of damaged /burn components. At eDP LCD connector (30 pin), the R010 fuse is OK but no voltage (pin 21-22). No schematic avail for this model. SM3201B chip has Vin=18V at pins 4,5,6 but not output at pins 1,2.
    Any help will be appreciated......

    Dell Latitude E7280

    Hi there,
    I need bios dump for Dell Latitude E7280, i5-7300U, CAZ10, LA-E122P.
The original was not working (power up for one sec and off).
Found one file on "alisaler", flash it, power up ok, but on the bios show as E7380! also some coils are whining...thanks!...

  • Re: Dell Latitude E7280 power on for 1 second

    Thanks Mon2 for advice!
First I plugged in the charger and measured some voltages at coil:
    PL100, 3.31V (+3.3V_ALWP) OK
    PL101, 5.01V (+5V_ALWP) OK
    PL201, 0V (+1.2V_DDRP)...
    PL301, 1.02V (+1VALWP) OK
    PL404, 1.01V (+1.0V_PRIM_COREP) OK
    PL901, 19.6V (+PWR_SRC_AC) OK
    Without charger ,
    PL610 has 13 ohm (+VCC_CORE)
    PL612 has 10 ohm (+VCC_GT)
    PL614 has 25 ohm (+VCC_SA)
Are those last resistance values kind of low?

  • Dell Latitude E7280 power on for 1 second

    Hi there,
I got this Dell Latitude E7280 in very good condition without battery, plug-in the barrel or USB-C charger and press power button the led is on for just a second and off , cpu fan is not spinning .. measuring the PU901 IC charger voltages , everything looks normal to me (VDDP and VDD = 5.2V, ACOK = 3.1V, ACIN+ 3.6V, CSIN, CSIP= 19.8v). Also PQ905, at D1 =19.5V and PQ904, at D1=12.8V. Could be a short to ground? I will measure the resistance of some coils...did anyone had similar issue ?

  • Re: Macbook Pro A1286 GPU issue - Fan spin 2 seconds

An observation: just removing R9811 did not help much...same behavior (however there is 5.0V at one pin for 2 sec)... Simplylcd try to connect PLT_RESET_L from Pin 1 of R2881 to any GROUND and try again to program gmux IC......

    Hi there,
Any updates regarding this issue? I have exactly same model & symptoms!
There is gMux IC Bypass procedure by DosDude1 , does not require to remove L2406... just connect PLT_RESET_L to ground (see doslabelectronics. com /Demux). Do you want to share any .jed files? My guess is something else (beside GPU) is also defective (VRAM maybe) !

  • Re: Samsung LH49QMRE no image, just restarts

In the meantime, still trying to find an answer for this situation, I removed the CPU (large) heatsink and measuring the voltages at the coils ...it seems everything has between 0.8 to 1.0V except six coils connected to IC400_UT labeled VPM2GMA. Google it and did not find any information on the chip !!! Based on the silkscreen prints, this ic generates all the supply rails the LCD panel, including "AVDD_17V" and "Panel_3.3V"...so with or without the LCD ribbon cables attached the first one is 0.0V and second one is...

  • Re: Samsung LH49QMRE no image, just restarts

Moving forward, using longer and thinner probes, I managed to measure the voltages at CNM 801 connector with the mainboard attached to the power board …pin 4) OD_ON/OFF is stable at 3.10V , so my guess that is ok!
Next step, due to the fact the tv is turning on as soon the AC cord is plug in, I removed the POWER ON_ OFF wire terminal from mainboard cable so there is no signal to the power supply … but no change , the voltage at pin 8) remain 3.90V no matter what ! As usual, press power button on the remote for 3 sec and the...

  • Re: Samsung LH49QMRE no image, just restarts

Just a quick update: the mainboard is connected with the LCD panel using those two wide ribbon cables (no T-Con board) . As per electronichelponline blogspot , the OD_ON/OFF (Over Voltage Detect) (pin 4 ) 3.3Vdc : Operating Normal. If 0V or changing, an SMPS or Panel error exists ! ...mine is sometime 0V or changing ... planning to remove the lower shield of the panel and measure some voltages......

  • Samsung LH49QMRE no image, just restarts

    Hi again,
I need some help to troubleshoot this 49 inch Samsung 4K... so, the tv is power up when mains cable is plugged-in without using the remote or the power switch. The LED backlight is on but no image (blank screen). The red power indicator is flickering when the remote is used and power off the unit but after few seconds restart by itself. Inspected the power supply board (BN44-00953B) no components damaged and at CNM 801 connector measured the voltages without the mainboard connected:
    pin 1) NC, 2) ANA_DIM=2.81V, 3),5),7) and 9) A13V=12.77V, pin4) OD_ON/OFF=0V, 6) BLU_PMW=...

Hi everybody! I had this old project on hold due to some other priorities ... looking closer to this motherboard, I observed also PU6003 responsible for +1.35V_GFX (AOZ2263Q) voltage is very hot ! Could be one of the GDDR5 sticks shorted ? Can I convert the discrete video card to UMA (easily) ? Thanks...

  • Re: Samsung QM49R 49" 4K UHD not working

Just a quick update…having no info regarding this tv, I assumed this situation was due to incorrect setting from EPROM or corrupted firmware. To access the service mode menu (Factory Reset), press the buttons on the remote in this order: Mute, 1, 8, 2 and Power when the tv is on stand-by mode…so I have up to 5 sec for this operation… the front red led was blinking / responding to the remote … the backlight turned on (nothing new) …but I heard loud and clear ”Please select your language” message…but no image on the screen...

  • Samsung QM49R 49" 4K UHD not working

    Hi there,
Samsung tv, like new condition ( Aug 2019), plugged-in, power up (without pressing the power button) with backlight on but no start up sound, no image. Cannot be power off by the switch or remote. Removed screw-less back cover and inspected the power supply and main board…no suspected components… disconnected one or both LCD ribbon cables, same status. Voltages 13V and 3.3V are OK.
However, when is plug-in, the main board has a chirping sound for 3 to 5 sec before backlight is starting. At this point I want to confirm that it is a hardware or software issue. For a better...
