Anyone able to open this file to see what filename/filepath/directory etc.. this auto update program is looking for as its clearly not correct!

    Thanks

Renamed with .txt just so I was able to attach the file.

Though even without the swu_auto_flag update file the log file still appears on the usb stick so might be it cant find the destination path to store the update rather than not being able to locate the source path on the usb stick.

Re: Samsung UE50TU7000K backlights on, no picture or sound

If i understand it correctly, if the backlights remain on then i would take that to mean the tv is fully powered up,i assume you can power off the tv using the remote or pwr button, you did say the stby light flashes when you adjust the vol, that's good, i'm almost certain you would get sound if you were to hook up the antenna and switch to a free to air channel, samsungs are generally easy to navigate just would take a bit of patience since you won't be able to see a picture.( using the remote, hit source, up, then left or right arrow, hit enter, select a known free to air channel, just punch in the ch no,wait a few secs, make sure the vol is up, repeat till you hear something) this method has worked for me a number of times
All that just to prove the tv is fully powered and you have sound.

With that said, i think it could be a panel issue, have you checked the panel driver boards for any shorted sm caps, diodes etc..?
Also i would revisit the tape method, especially if you manage to get sound.

        My two cents....good luck.

Thanks, not convinced its booting up completely as unable to get a film to play on a usb stick. Cant test via tv channels as have no aerial.

Tv only turns off if you press and hold remote on/off button for 3 secs. Tv panel on/off button does nothing.

Not found any obvious shorts on panel boards.

Samsung UN70TU6980FXZA no sound no picture but does have backlights
            by stinger
When I turn tv on, the backlights come on but there is no sound or picture. I have read that these tv's have problems with the panels going bad but the "no sound" has me questioning if the main board is bad. Is there a way to troubleshoot the main board to determine if that is the problem?

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
            by TR103
            Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
            - sound and backlight, but no picture
            - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
            - it keeps rebooting
            - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
            - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
            by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started β€˜fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly β€˜new' Tcon board this time, and

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound
            by Ierwin
            Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

Samsung UN70NU6900F no picture and no sound
            by jchang
            Hi all

I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.

            Symptom:
            No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
            No sound at all.

            What I tried:
            1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon...
