Samsung tv half LCD black

Hi there
I've seen a posting for a cheap broken Samsung TV series 7 50 "
The posting states that suddenly the left half of the screen went dark
Is this a broken LCD or is this a set of backlight led?

Ok are you 100% positive on this?
I would purchase if the issue is the led strips but I don't want to buy it if the LCD is broken
Arent the led strips usually arranged horizontally?

The backlight is rather end and one bar (on the left, at the bottom) does not work.

yes i'm sure, evidently 1 of 2 edge bars is broken

Ok I was just asking cause all the tv sets where I've changed led strips they were arranged horizontally

yes horizontal, one on the left one on th right
