Take a look at the electrolytic capacitors, they are all defective and one has even leaked

            Identifying a 3-legged device
            by Nevillet
            Hi All,

I have a small Sony CD player (CMT-X3CD) where the PSU board has died but i'm having trouble identifining a fried 3 legged component labled as Q501 on the schematic. The marking on the device itself is terrible and all I can decifer is:
            25216
            SMK

Can anyone suggest what it can be replaced with?

I've attached the service manual and the PSU board can be found on page 36/7.

            Many thanks.

            Matsui 175S microwave fuse replacement
            by drykid
            Hi,

I recently picked up a used Matsui 175S microwave that was powering up (starts, turntable rotates) but not heating. From looking online the most likely culprit was the fuse, but unfortunately in this one the fuse had heated up and fused with the (badly designed) fuse holder and couldn't be removed. I guess this might indicate further issues beyond the fuse itself but at this stage I just want to replace the fuse and see how I go from there.

Anyway since I couldn't get out the fuse itself the easiest fix was to replace the fuse holder assembly that runs between the...

Need help identifying a 14 legged chip with no marking
            by rddube
            Hello everyone,

I need help trying to diagnose the problem with this little board which controls the activation of a motor for a mini Liion powered chopping apparatus. The motor is rated 7.4 volts and should start when you power the power switch twice, but I only get a led flashing.

The chip I think may be at fault is the one pointed by the yellow arrow, but there no markings on it at all, nothing!

Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks!...

Grundig GV-250 Repair problem. (Video inside post)
            by hugocarmo
            Hi everyone.
            I have the following problem.
I have a Grundig GV-250 VCR which has not been used for over 10 years. When I turned it on, the fuse of the PSU burned out, after being replaced it burned again, I ended up verifying that I had the bridge rectifier and the mosfet in short, I ended up replacing it, and I replaced all the electrolytics of the PSU. However, it started to behave strangely, as I will show you in the video that I will attach as a link.
In short, I ended up replacing all the ICs on the power supply CNY17G, TDA4605, TL431, TDA8137, TL082CP, AN3824K, L2720,...

So, i have a Lenovo legion y540 15irh (81sx). 9th gen i7 ... It originally was on windows 10 when i got it, and apparently the bios boot mode was set to legacy mode.

Well, a few years after warranry ended, and apparently Lenovo recently ended service and updates for this, my keyboard randomly stopped working, but intermittently,

Refreshing windows 10 didnt help. I managed to safely change over the boot mode from legecy to UEFI, i updated to windows 11, but keyboard issues continued.
