OLED55B7A-U black screen but powers on

I have a fairly new but our of warranty LG OLED55B7A-U TV that all of the sudden developed a black screen. Sound still works, once in a great while can get a faint ghosting to appear in background if you look real close. Using a flashlight close to the screen does not indicate a faint image is present.

Any thoughts on where to start and likely cause of problem?

Have toggled on and off, checked inputs, checked inputs with different signals, looked at all boards and connections for any signs of heat or smell. Found nothing so far.

    Any help is appreciated.

Could use some good pictures of boards.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

I tried to show front and back where possible. I have reseated all connections. One thing top note, the red standby light does flash three times when the TV is powered on. As mentioned previously, occasionally there is a slight ghosting for a second once in a while, certainly not every time.

would check all the solder joints in picture 2, hard to tell from picture but some of them don't look that great, examples of bad joints: https://www.google.com/search?q=bad+...ih=607&dpr=1.5

you said you have sound but the screen remain black... i would try first to send IN_STOP command to make hard reset for LG. also you can before sending In_STOP check if the Connector from power boards to the middle T-CON driver boards if you have 12V & 24V.. 24V are responsible for OLED

Check the voltage after these fuses (there is voltage on these capacitors).

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

                          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                          by DaniK
                          Hi everyone,
I have this strange behaviour with Acer Aspire E5-574-52RH, i5 6200U, intel graphics, DA0ZRWMB6G0 Rev G, model ZRW.
Laptop came in for a SSD upgrade, took everything apart to install the SSD.
Everything started after modifying BIOS settings to boot UEFI instead of Legacy.
Laptop works fine, i installed windows 10 and drivers/updates, everything works ok(when it works)
The black screen problem is random, maybe 5 out 10 times, laptop remains with the black screen, no image

                          Symptoms are:
                          - random black screen after displaying Acer logo...

Grundig 55 GUT 8768_55 (chassis gf) Black Screen, powers on and shows backlight
                          by classypenguin
Hello, I bought a Grundig 55 gut 8768_55 (chassis gf) as a defect ‘black screen.

Now I have started with the basics:

Fuse intact, LED Tester says 123V, BL Cap has 140V, Mainboard to PSU 12V, 24V, 3.3V and 5.2V are avail+able, 12V and 3.3V at TCON (TV has no seperate Tcon)

As soon as I switch on the TV, it shows backlight, but a small grey line which disappears again.
When I tap Menu, the background light becomes brighter. What can I assume is wrong with the TV?
A defective mainboard? Or a software problem?

I would be glad of help....

Hello, I'm working on a new deskmod pc project and have a problem with my monitor, an AOC U34G3XM, well, I may have bricked it.

The monitor was dismanteled and the separate parts parts integrated in the desk. the screen panel alone is on the upper part, and main board/video board + power board on the back of the desk (not enough place on the cover to fit it)
At first everything was working smoothly, then I decided to change the connexion between the video board and the screen for a longer one. Still working fine

During another reassembly, I made a mistake, and...
